When booking we read that the bar and the swimming pool were unavailable that was the only information that was disclosed to us. We arrived for an event, so we were very limited to where to stay. The event was actually being held in one of their banquet halls, so for convenience we booked this hotel. On check in we were not advised anything, or informed anything. While walking around the hotel, the hotel housekeeping was disgusting food wrappers rubbish left in hallways, walkways. After the event that’s when we really started to notice what was going on, we went to the car to collect some of our belonging and were heckled by some men making comments. The security officer by the door just looked at us and put his head down. We hurried to our room and didn’t feel safe to come back out again until the morning. During the night you can hear people talking in hallways, walking about was a very restless stay. In the morning we spoke with reception who informed us we should’ve called them so they could “address” the situation. There was one security officer who saw and heard but did not intervene, so not sure what receptionist could’ve done differently. The hotel reception manager was not very keen to meet us at first telling the reception staff she was in a meeting, we decided to wait for her. She was unable to address our complaint and even suggested we should’ve checked out and gone somewhere else when we felt unsafe. Totally disgusting way to be treated, and blame game response to our complaint, was a total waste of time. Will never ever stay here again.
This used to be a lovely hotel - absolutely avoid !
Lovely hotel. Unfortunately the spa was unavailable. Great welcoming staff. Although it was very intimidating when we rode into the car park as there were lots of people standing around, lying on the grass, standing by their deliveroo bikes.
Room was upgraded and extended check out was offered and no extra cost.
Spacious room, clean and beds were very comfortable.
Dirtiest place we’ve stayed in years. No care. Place is no longer a proper hotel but what I can assume is temporary accommodation for immigration or asylum seekers.
Shocking how bad it has become.
Immigrant hotel. Only 5 rooms for us regular people. Immigrant touching my car with no respect. Staff would not help with luggage, had to get my own trolley. Rude reception staff. shower did not work on last morning so left dirty. Table was broken with numerous huge chunks taken out of the table.
No internet connection, tv not working. Only given one card. Asking for deposit after full pay
Hotel being used to home asylum seekers. Plates, food, cutlery and rubbish being disposed of everywhere around hotel. Groups of people hanging out in hallways/ outside making the place feel unsafe. No facilities open to public or paying customers. Rooms are very outdated and look extremely tired.
Not happy with bathroom and the A/C wasn’t working at all
Really disappointed to see the difference in this hotel since we stayed as a family a few years ago. No facilities open - including restaurant. Swarms of security and refugees with bags of belongings.
Room is dirty , particularly the carpet. Hotel manager is very disrespectful. Staff here are unwelcoming. After staying at several places , this is by far the worst
All the staff members here are rude.
Wrong description no spa no room service dirty hotel shower broken bad smell
I booked this hotel for a couple of days as a solo traveller and being a woman I thought this hotel looked okay. As soon as I parked up the atmosphere was weird, people sat around outside the hotel, in the car parks on the floor, hanging around by the lifts. Once I checked in and was walking to my room, I saw men hanging around in the corridors of rooms, hanging by the middle of the floors staring at me as I walked past. It felt very intimidating and scary. The vibe just felt very strange. The window in the room wouldn't close properly and I was worried for my safety. I went to reception and let them know I didn't feel safe, they seemed to know immediately what I was talking about and agreed to cancel my stay. I asked them to give me 30 mins to collect my things and book another hotel as it was almost 8pm and I had nowhere to go, which they agreed, within 5 mins of me going back to the room, they were calling asking me to leave so they can make housekeeping aware!
This hotel is full of people who make you feel uncomfortable. Please avoid if you're a woman
Definitely not a 4* hotel, seems to be a place for refugees, felt uncomfortable as soon as I arrived with lots of what appeared to be refugees outside. As a female alone stay away. The photos are definitely not correct. The room was clean however the dressing table was split/damaged and I caught my clothes on there which pulled the linen.
If you're traveling to London with a car or mini bus this a great stop off.
Hotel is very comfortable and quiet you will get a great sleep.
Good
Hotel reception was horrific, they didn’t seem to understand that i booked this night whist on the road. I did not have any photo ID and only had apple pay with me. They take a 'holding deposit' and in order to get me a receipt for this ( which was a battle ) they insisted on writing down all my credit card details on a piece of paper and to top things off, they take 28 days for the refund of the holding deposit. very bad practices at reception. avoid.
( on the plus side, good parking, and the room was OK, if you dont mind the shower curtain clinging to you )
Poor standards at the front desk, writing down credit card numbers on slips of paper and not able to return ‘holding deposit’ for 28 days. Bad form all round avoid this hotel.
Got upgraded and stat in the room was nice. Disappointed no facilities were open..
The staff on reception were friendly and helpful, however there was no restaurant or bar open if you had breakfast you had to have it in your room, there was only one lift working and hotel looked tired and needed some TLC, definitely not a 4 star hotel, the room was ok bed comfy, shower wasn’t good, lamp shades were grubby, walls, and windows, people hanging around in hallways made me feel uncomfortable, definitely wouldn’t stay here again. 👎
Firstly , the manager is so rude she doesn’t even know a of customer services ,
Secondly the price what you pay and what you get was very terrible , not even a single amenity was there . What a waste I wish I could give them negative rating
