Love the space, very clean and nice staff. The rooftop pool is amazing.
The couch in the living room was nice to sit on and the kitchen was stocked with everything but kitchen towels/paper towels.
We booked the penthouse suite with the private pool but the pool pump was broken and the water was murky so it wasn't usable. The safe was broken so we could only use the basic code that the staff gave us -1234. They said it wasn't possible to change the code so we decided not to have our room serviced to keep our belongings safe. The sink faucets sprayed all over the place even when turning it on lightly so every time we tried to wash our hands our clothes would get wet and surrounding areas including mirror were a mess. This is a concern bc our toothbrushes are at the sink and the faucet water is not potable. Finally door lock to the half bath and front door were broken. My husband and I wasted half a day waiting for staff to come by and fix these things. And the gen mgr Ana was horrible with service. She constantly denied these issues but I pushed again and again and she finally sent someone to fix the front door lock. But the safe was not fixable neither were the bathroom lock or faucets. Main thing was the private penthouse pool was not usable. And this was one of the biggest reasons we booked the spot. Overall I'd say this place is an armpit of a place. The service was just horrible. Not apologetic at all; just defensive and inattentive. The only reason this is a 2 and not a 1 is bc of the location.

The cleaning staff was friendly and when things didn't work they fixed them.
The AC didn't work, the place smelled, the tiles and walls were falling apart. The upstairs deck all the wood was rotten. There was no hot water one day, the electricity would fail for large periods of time. Actually there was no water in the morning one day, that was the day before there was no hot water. When I arrived the the safe was locked open, that took a day to fix. It was a nightmare. Also bugs in the room, they fumigated the next day.
No English speaking television available. The power was off 20% of the time as well as Internet available sparsely.
Staff was not fluent bilingually Spanish/English. Very difficult to ask about services or even get the process for getting a towel. Booked through third party service so didnt feel as if we were one of the establishments customers.
Not having immediate access to pool towels was a 1st for us on a luxury vacation.
The location as it is close to the beach.
The interior is starting to get a bit dated and the blackout curtains in the room have holes in them, so light does come through. The water pressure is also a bit low but otherwise everything was fine.
False advertisers!!! Do not stay here. They post pictures of the room you get on the hotel sites and give you a completely different room that is nothing like what you thought you paid for. Don’t think you’re going to get the room in the pictures. They post pictures saying you’ll get the room you think you’re paying for and then give you a completely different room that doesn’t have any of the accommodations that they put in the pics. Then they have the nerve to say that the pics don’t matter. You have to go through their list of written accommodations to see if what you’re looking at in the pics they post, you really get. What a bunch of scam artist thieves.
