Right on the beach, with chairs and beach towels provided, all you have to do is show up! A bit of classic Florida, with lovely updated rooms and modern amenities. Eric is a great host, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were beyond happy with our cottage, and will absolutely stay here again!

Cedar Cove and Cottages is one of the best place that I have gone to. it has that Cottage feeling the rooms are very clean they tend to all your needs I just love it. Bathroom is equipped with everything you need. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need dishes both cups utensils is very clean the atmosphere in the cottages are wonderful me and my husband love the place this is our sixth time coming here and we're going to keep on coming here thank you for your service wishing you a lot of blessing at your business thank you for being good host we'll see you again soon

I did book one night here through my Capital One card for a little over 500.- USD. I did select a 2 queen bed room and my booking confirmation also shows that I have a 2 queen bed booked.
I know that Capital One uses Expedia for their travel benefits and I never had an issue with them.
We did arrive at the hotel at around 5:30pm to find out the office closed at 4:30pm but as a positive we found an evelope with our name on in a box right at the door.
The fun did start once we headed to our room. To our surprise there was only one queen bed in the room. Since the office was closed we also did hope to find some beach towels in the room since there was still plenty of time to enjoy the sun. Instead there was just an empty laundry basket on the bed which was a bit weird.
At the office there is a phone to call a staff member if the office is closed. My wife did that to reach a pretty grumpy guy picking up the phone.
He explained us that our room is indeed a two queen room, but that the second queen bed is a sleeper sofa.
My wife then asked where we would find the bedsheets for that sleeper sofa and he said that they must be in the room in a grey bag. We did search the entire room to find nothing.
Another walk to the phone got us in touch with him again. We also asked if there is a place where we could find beach towels. He directed us to the guest laundry and said that we would find bedsheets and beach towels in there. We did find some very old, partly ripped beach towels which were okay for us to use but were not what we expected from a hotel at this price point. No bedsheets or grey bag to be found in there or anywhere else.
On the next call asking if someone would able to get us the bedsheets so that we can at least use the sofa bed for the night, we had been told in a very grumpy way that he lives 30 miles away and that we will have to wait a while. My wife just hang up since we had already been very annoyed by this whole story.
Coming back from the beach we were suprised to find a plastic bag and two beach towels on the bottom stairs to our first floor room. They did not even bother to bring the stuff up to our room. We paid more than 500.- USD for a two queen room and I'm putting bedsheets on a cheap sleeper sofa by myself now. The laundry bag also did not include any pillows or pillow cases.
After a night of very bad sleep on a squeaking and very uncomfy sleeper sofa I went to check out in the office.
I instantly got greeted by two ladies showing me that Expedia only submitted my name and a cryptic email. They also complained that they could not reach me to discuss the late arrival.
I am still trying to figure out why this was of any importance for us.
I then raised the concern that I did not get the room I booked and instead of any apology they directly started to argue with me that this is what is listed on their website.
When I showed them my booking confirmation stating two queen beds they instantly found someone else to blaim. Its all Expedia's fault since the listing on there is wrong that they cannot change this and so on.
Expedia or other booking sites only lists what the hotel tells them to list. If the listing is wrong the hotel needs to contact the booking page to change it. And if they don't like selling rooms on those platforms the should not do this.
As a matter of fact, I would not have made this booking if I would have known that it would be a single queen plus a sofa sleeper. Especially not for that price. I would have booked somewhere else and I feel that I fell for a scam.
This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had and I will never book this place again. A totally wasted weekend.

Recently returned from a wonderful three days at Cedar Cove Resort & Cottages. Truly a hidden gem! Could not have a better location on a beautiful beach. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly, attentive and very responsive. The grounds were impeccably maintained. Wife and I have already booked our return trip. Don’t miss out, take a look at Cedar Cove Resort & Cottages. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing time at Cedar Cove. The room was very neat and clean! The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. We even booked our next stay there in 5 months, we loved it so much!!!!!!!

During our travels around Florida, we stayed at Cedar for one night. It was incredible, if we didn’t have other bookings in new locations already set, we would have extended our stay

The property: like a movie scene. Yellow building with greenery, water and tranquility. We stayed in Violet cottage- parking right outside, hugely spacious room, clean and comfortable bed! We had complimentary towels and beach beds. A short few second walk and we were on the beach!

The host: Eric greeted us on arrival, quickly checked us, gave us recommendations for dinner locally, chatted away to us and showed us to our room, clear instructions and smooth check in. A very kind and funny man!

We loved our stay here and will 100% be back, somewhere like no other!

Amazing place to stay if you’re in Anna Maria Island. I stayed 2 nights here with my friend and I can’t recommend enough. It’s right at the beach, so it doesn’t get better than that. Friendly staff, not too expensive and overall very peaceful and calm. The beach in front of the property is the best one I’ve been to in the island - clean water, white sand.
If you’re planning on coming to this island this is the place to stay!!

We stayed in the Key Lime Cottage and had a wonderful stay. Close to beach, clean, our hosts Eric and Amy were very accommodating.
We could bike to Publix and rented a golf cart to explore the island.
The beach is clean with chairs and umbrellas for guests.

The property was clean and next to the beach, location was awesome.

We had the perfect stay at Cedar Cove Resort & Cottages in Holmes Beach, Florida! The dolphin cottage was incredibly clean, cozy, and fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. The direct beach access was amazing and made it so easy to enjoy the beautiful ocean anytime we wanted.

We also loved the cute tiki huts — such a fun touch that really added to the beachy atmosphere. The staff was extremely helpful, welcoming, and friendly throughout our entire stay. You can truly tell they care about their guests and take pride in the property.

We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable beach getaway!

My husband and I just had a very relaxing and comfortable mini-vacation in the Wildflower Cottage. If you're looking for a laid back, quiet, beachy vibe without hustle and bustle, this is the spot. The location is great and close to everything, their beach is quiet, uncrowded, and relatively private with lots of chairs, umbrellas, and towels, the rooms are well kept, clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, the mango slushies are yummy, and I could go on and on. We quite enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend it!

We were very disappointed because, when booking on the website, it looks like everything is right on the oceanfront—yet they gave us a small house set back in a horrible area. No pools, no breakfast…only Beach is good.

We had an amazing stay at Cedar Cove! Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location was perfect—just steps away from the beach. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was great for families. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

I had the most AMAZING trip with my family, the room was right on the beach and had phenomenal views and the service was amazing, very nice people! Everything worked nicely and it was such a nice place for me and my family, would recommend this place for couples who want a romantic getaway and even families! We had a party of 6 and the room fit all of us in it comfortably, the room provided kitchenware and the bathrooms were nice and clean! It’s also near many places that make it easy to grab essentials and also food!! The beach itself was amazing on its own, very private and you felt like you can have real fun while you’re there.

Excellent location with comfortable, well-maintained rooms. The property is just steps away from the beach, making it incredibly convenient for families looking to enjoy the sun and sand. Everything we needed was nearby, and the atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. It was the perfect spot for a family vacation, and we would definitely stay here again!

A great choice if you want a quiet, beautiful beach. The accommodations are quaint and not fancy. We enjoyed our week and would return without hesitation. We need more places like this, not big resorts.
