Took my Aunt & Uncle up for a 2 night stay in the Dolphin Cottage. Totally enjoyed the “cottage style” feel of the resort and the private beach area and the self service type style of the resort! Great sunsets and our first time to the Island. After the hurricane everything seemed well in place and it wasn’t that busy for this time of the year! Walked around town for a bit and had a nice happy hour daiquiri on the rooftop of the daiquiri deck. Thanks for a great relaxing time on the ocean and the island vibes! We did use the free trolley which was useful to see the island! Not a party resort. Very laid back and relaxing
Our first time to Anna Maria Island and we had a wonderful stay at the Cedar Cove Resort and Cottages. We chose the Coconut suite, a second floor unit with a balcony facing the beach. The views were amazing, the kitchen and bathroom were clean and perfect for our needs, the bed was very comfortable, and the living room was inviting and relaxing. The staff were attentive to any need we had and the location was an easy drive to restaurants and Island activities. The resilience of the Island after the hurricanes of 2024 was evident in that most restaurants and places of interest were repaired, remodeled and open to the public. I would highly recommend the Cedar Cove Resort for anyone visiting the Gulf Coast and Anna Maria Island.
This hidden gem with some rooms directly on the gulf is wonderful. We’ve stayed here several times. This time in the Sand Castle penthouse. It is updated, clean and the view was amazing. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They also offer golf cart rentals which makes getting around the island fun! We will be back!

We spent our long weekend in the Mimosa Cottage at Cedar Cove, and we could not have asked for a better experience! Room was clean, staff was attentive and kind, and the resort is literally steps away from the beach. The island has plenty of beaches to choose from, but we found ourselves at the resort’s private beach the most. We loved how quiet it was, and it was the perfect place to watch the sunset. The room also comes with complimentary bikes, which was a great way to get around the island during the day. The resort is centrally located, with the Bridge Street restaurants and shops to the south, and another plaza to the north with plenty of restaurants and shops. Everything was a short trolley ride away, which made things very convenient. The resort staff also provided some great recommendations. Would highly recommend Cedar Cove and Anna Maria Island to anyone looking for an awesome island getaway!
I paid $700 a night for the “3 bedroom” Sunset Suite in October. It is technically a 2-bedroom because you must walk-thru one bedroom to get to the den. No privacy. No A/C unit either.
in the pictures, the chairs and umbrellas look close to beach. They are not close; and cannot be moved or adjusted. If you want to set up close to the beach, you must rent a tent for $150.

On first impressions, it wasn’t great. BUT stick with it and the homey feel and old Florida vibes start kicking in. Low key ✔️, not pretentious ✔️, family oriented ✔️. Everything you desire can be done here ✔️. Old actually very old but remodeled fairly nicely. Appliances good. Shower head new. Excellent toaster. Comfortable couch even though it’s ugly. YES I would come back 😳🤣🤗
Such a great getaway! The resort cottages and were perfect, the staff very helpful and the beach was fantastic! The island is back up after the hurricanes and we had amazing seafood, sunsets and a great time.

What a perfect place to stay in Anna Maria! I was worried the property would feel “dated” or “frumpy,” but that was not the case at all. It was clean and beautiful! Even staying in one of the cheaper/smaller options, we still felt like we had an entire apartment to ourselves. Having a living and dining area was a lifesaver. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful and the property had all the amenities you could hope for (except a pool I suppose—but who cares when you’ve got such a gorgeous beach right there!).
Cedar Cove is perfectly located for exploring Anna Maria Island—which I highly recommend in and of itself! The island is up and running and there is so much to do. We can’t wait to return!
My stay was absolutely amazing and the most peaceful I could have ever asked for! The staff here is so helpful and make you feel right at home. This is is such a special place and I will continue to come here for years to come!
We went to Anna Maria Island for my birthday. Even though we only stayed one night at Cedar Cove we will definately go again and stay longer. Everything was super clean, neat and organized. The bed was extremely comfortable. The owners, Eric and Amy were particularly hospitable and gracious. Thank you for helping make my birthday even more special.
Very Nice!! We stayed in one of the rooms across the street (cheaper) but the access to the beach was totally fine and convenient. The big, unexpected surprise, was how well the room w/ kitchenette was stocked. We've stayed in many Airbnbs that didn't come anywhere near the completeness, and quality of how well the kitchen was equipped. My wife and I didn't expect to use a kitchenette, so we didn't plan food accordingly (e.g., full size refrigerator!). Our room was perfectly sized for two people and now we know it is better than "most" Airbnbs at a reasonable cost.
Check-in and check-out process was very low friction. We enjoyed our visit.
Location was great very close to trolley stop and on a more private spot along the beach (with easy access). Very relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well-appointed. Amenities around the facility were great--free bikes, little library, small shop with basics + goodies, and even golf cart rentals. Noise levels were still great despite our room being situated near the road. A great experience and great value for anyone seeking an extended stay on the island!
My wife and our two friends stayed for a week here and don't have enough good things to say! To start, the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and hardworking. The rooms were super clean, the access to the beach was extremely easy, and the experience was easier than staying at an Airbnb. Chairs & towels, to bring to the beach, free bikes to use, a shop, a library, and more!
We will certainly be back here, likely more than once!!

The beach was gorgeous.
Room very comfy and a beautiful view of the Gulf.
We were expecting ground floor and a balcony leading to the Gulf. Ad was misleading.
And ad said there was a pool.
We are seniors and the stairs were a big problem.
Our stay at the resort was truly delightful and serene. The staff went above and beyond, showing such warmth and kindness that we felt genuinely welcomed. Our unit spacious, and it was clear that no detail was overlooked.. We absolutely loved our time on the patio, which became a peaceful retreat for us. The coffee maker was a wonderful surprise, and we loved it so much that we decided to purchase the same one.
