Pros:

Great location, short walk to plenty of restaurants and a grocery store. I was able to wash my clothes for a reasonable fee ($3 for washer and dryer) while hanging out at the hot tub.

Cons:

$20 for parking, but we parked right outside the hotel for $0.75/hour, and it's free from 9pm to 9am. In total, we only spent about $5 for the whole time we were there.

Great location, lacking comfort
Pros:

Friendly staff. Great location

Cons:

Took long time for hot water- never got hot. Pillows and bed were very worn- no fluff left in them. Signage when you pull up is lacking. Was unsure where to go when we got there. Not sure what was going on the the lobby, but there were a lot of boxes laying around

Comfortable room and a friendly staff, not too shabby.
Pros:

The size of the room was great. The amenities were abundant, well organized, as good of a view from the balcony as one can expect in Des Moines, Iowa.

Cons:

The room was great but the price was excessive, in my opinion, for an empty (at the time) hotel in Iowa. It was my choice to book it at the rate I received, so this doesn't effect my rating, but still good feedback, I think. There was a nice large television on a swivel arm that would have been great to make use of but it was unresponsive; it didn't turn on. It could have been a number of things. I didn't give them the chance to correct the problem because I was only there for a night and it wasn't that important.

Clean rooms, good breakfast, and awesome location to area attractions.
Pros:

The breakfast was decent. The room and all other facilities that we used were very clean. Had a river view and a view of the capital building that was great. Was able to see the fireworks show. The area that the hotel is located is a very convenient to a lot of area attractions, i.e. the farmers market, Iowa Cubs games, Science Center, etc.

Cons:

I would have liked to have seen an alcohol selection in the convenient store area. There really isn't anything that comes to mind otherwise.

Pros:

The beds! Especially the comforter! The room was also very quiet and great temperatures controll.

Cons:

Hard to find, parking was limited and not the simplest task.

Location and food thumbs up otherwise pass on.
Pros:

The location served our purpose. The breakfast was good. The room temperature could be controlled.

Cons:

The beds and pillows were horrible, the rooms next to us were under construction or being renovated or some kind of maintenance, the hotel definitely needed some TLC.
