The Sense De Luxe Hotel – All Inclusive

This hotel was nice aesthetically and the entertainment and food were absolutely brilliant, the staff were amazing.

The massive let down was the fact there was absolutely no aircon anywhere in the hotel, We complained to staff and the told us to try and speak to management as management wouldn’t do anything unless guests complained, this is meant to be a 5 star resort and I was left bitterly disappointed with this.

We went to management about the issue and they lied to our face and said it was working when it was clearly not, I feel sorry for that staff that work here under this terrible management!

A nice classic vacation destination. Food at the buffet was delish every day, staff were we friendly and funny, and hosted events every night such as live bands. I spent my time tanning by the pool, or taking a short walk to the beach. Also close by to streets & markets, which I loved walking through at night.

I am currently staying at this hotel and genuinely cannot wait to go back home.
This was meant to be our first full family holiday: 8 of us — 6 adults, a 4-year-old and a 4-month-old baby. After a long, exhausting journey involving turbulence, delays, traffic and heavy rain, we arrived at Sense De Luxe around 11:35pm. Unfortunately, the experience from the moment we stepped inside has been extremely disappointing.

1. Check-In & Reception (Involving Staff Member: Numan)

Upon entering the lobby, we were met by Numan and another receptionist. Neither of them greeted us — no “hello,” no “good evening,” nothing. At almost midnight, with tired adults and small children, a basic welcome should be the minimum.

Instead, we were left waiting 45+ minutes while they struggled to understand why their system showed 7 guests instead of 8. I pointed out several times that they had counted my sister’s name twice, but I was ignored.

To make things worse, during the entire wait nobody offered to assist with our luggage. We eventually had to request help ourselves, which is unbelievable for a hotel calling itself 5-star.

For context, TUI completed a name change over 2 months ago, fully confirmed and paid.

We were then called back down at almost 1am. Numan’s attitude became even worse. When I explained how exhausted we were after travelling for over 16 hours, he responded:

“Well, I’m tired too.”

Things escalated when he actually said to me:

“Are you wanting a fight?”

This was shocking, unprofessional and completely unacceptable from any member of hotel staff, let alone someone representing the front desk.

Even after we provided screenshots of both bookings via AirDrop, clearly showing all 8 names, we were told:

“We won’t bother you again.”

Yet minutes later, I was stopped AGAIN and asked for a deposit supposedly “required by TUI.”
The next morning, the TUI rep confirmed:
• No deposit was required
• The name change was visible on both their system and the hotel’s
• The reception staff should not have caused any issue

Overall, the check-in was chaotic, rude, and extremely unprofessional.

2. Staff Behaviour Throughout the Hotel

Unfortunately, the negative experience continued throughout the stay.
• Not once were we greeted in the restaurant.
• We were never offered drinks, despite watching every other table receive immediate drink service.
• Staff clearly prioritised and attended to other guests while ignoring our table.
• Indoor pool staff looked visibly annoyed when we entered.

The difference in treatment between us and other guests was very obvious.

3. Room Cleanliness & Issues

The room may look good at first glance, but basic standards were not met.
• The fridge was completely broken — the door fell off, and it wasn’t cooling at all.
• We reported this directly to reception.
• Then we called twice more.
• It still took around 2 hours before it was finally replaced.
• By then, my baby’s milk had already spoiled overnight.
• The bedsheet had a brown stain.
• The bathrobe provided was also stained.
• The duvet wasn’t even placed properly inside the cover — just folded at the bottom of the bed.
• Overall cleanliness and attention to detail were poor.

These issues should never happen in a hotel claiming to be 5-star.

4. Animals in the Hotel

This is something that should absolutely be mentioned on booking sites:
• There is a dog roaming freely around the hotel grounds.
For families with young children — especially babies and toddlers — this is extremely concerning.
Had we known this beforehand, we would not have chosen this hotel.
• There are also cats inside the restaurant.
I understand this can be common in Turkey, so this alone isn’t the issue, but combined with the overall lack of hygiene and service, it’s another thing guests should be aware of.

5. Food & Dining Experience

The food was one of the biggest disappointments.
• The selection is very poor for a hotel marketed as 5-star.
• The dishes are essentially the same food repeated daily, just renamed or slightly altered.
• Even foods that are supposed to be completely different end up tasting exactly the same.
• There is no real variety or freshness.

Combined with the lack of service in the restaurant, the dining experience has been extremely underwhelming.

6. Location

Be aware that the hotel is at least 1 hour from both Antalya centre and Lara Beach, which offer far more activities. The location is not convenient at all.

7. Amenities (The Few Positives)

To be fair, there are a few acceptable facilities:
• Small indoor pool and kids’ pool
• Three saunas and a steam room (one sauna not working)
• A compact but well-equipped gym
• Hairdryer in the room

These were the only aspects that met expectations.

Overall Verdict

I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel.
From Numan’s rude and confrontational behaviour, to the poor treatment from other staff, the unacceptable cleanliness issues, the repeated food, the lack of variety, and the roaming dog around young children — this hotel has completely ruined what should have been our first family holiday together.

All 8 of us are counting down the days until we can leave.

Staff friendly. Clean.
Don’t do the entertainment, but it looked good.
The pool indoors very small meant to be for over 18 years. I think the couple having sex in the pool one night took this too literally. the following night, when the locals arrived for the weekend, there were about 12 children diving in and out of the pool with an aggressive dad waiting to pounce on anyone who complained.
the food well it was same every meal every day except one night when there was sushi on the side. compared to other 5* hotels in the area The sense is 4* ar best.

Went just for a few days. Room was lovely, food very good, service very good and the staff (except Spa) were fantastic, so friendly and really helpful.
The only bad thing was the spa staff, the manager and his sidekick, were absolute pests. Trying to sell massage when you picked your towel up and trying again when you dropped your towel off. After you had said no they still continued and then were quite unpleasant. Another review wrote they used their own towels just to avoid the spa staff. Such a shame as the facilities in the spa were great, pool, steam room and 2 saunas!!

We stayed at The Sense Deluxe Hotel from October 12, 2025, to October 23, 2025. It was our first time at this hotel. We left it with the best impressions. I express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to all the staff. The rooms are cozy, everything is clean, and every request is fullfield with an excellent service. The food is simply out of this world-there's plenty of it, everything is delicious, you're spoiled for choice, and you want to try everything. This hotel is a gastronomic paradise. There are small pools inside area, but there's a private beach with a pier, just a 5-minute walk away, or the staff can get you there in a golf car. The hotel's guests are mostly German, but the staff happily speaks both English and Russian, ensuring no barriers interfere with relaxation and communication. You do a fantastic job making your guests' stays unforgettable. This hotel is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it. I hope to see you again soon.

Lets do the positives first. Location fantastic, food is amazing and the beach just tops it nicely. Hotel is stunning and aesthetically pleasing and very clean. Cleaners work very hard and very polite. They always greet you on the corridors when they see you. Animation team very friendly and superb.
Front of house staff, mainly the young men are very rude. However, the older guys are lovely. I emailed prior to the stay to ask about late checkout due to our late flight home. I recieved a reply saying to ask on check in, which I did and I was told to come back in a few days. So I did, this was now day 4 of a 7 day holiday where the young lad was quite rude and said "I told you to come on morning of check out". He didnt. Anyway we sorted that on morning of check out. Most of the servers are rude apart from the pool bar that is open at night time. In the resturaunt most of the staff are arrogant and dont want to see to you if you are English. (This was a trend we saw I will explain further down). One evening we were half way through our meal and were asked to move to another table as where we was sat was reserved. There was No reserved sign on the table. We had to pick our half eaten meal up and move. I felt sorry for the guy that was made to come and ask us he was polite and very apologetic. The morning after the same table had a reserved sign on and for every meal time afterwards for the same family to sit at. we then found out they would have been back handing the resturaunt staff to make this happen. I did not know you could reserve in an all inclusive the mind does boggle. They were us (2brits) and 4 other brits in the whole hotel. Other guests where mainly German and Dutch. When the staff see your English their expression really changes. Its quite rude to be honest. We ended up spending a lot of time out of the hotel and on trips. Which isn't what we quite had imagined after this wasnt a cheap holiday. This was my first time in turkey and it is beautiful but I have been put off by the lack of welcoming to English people in the side area.

Unfortunately very unpleasant stay. Starting from the first day. Manager of the reception not helpfull and rude. All the reception team making you feel unwelcome. Nobody speaks english . AC in the room is malfunctioning, the cleaningladies are rushing you to get out of the room . Service at rhe restaurant the same.

Fabulous hotel…. Hotel was very clean and rooms were amazing. Beds were so comfortable ( I’m really fussy with beds ) we had a family room and it was very spacious. Balcony could of had more seats on as seen as it was a family room but apart from that was very clean and our maid was lovely and very refreshing that she never hinted for tips unlike other hotels we’ve stayed in in side. Pleasantly surprised how nice the food was. Especially at the beach bar. The lady in the corner who did the bread was so sweet and the bread was divine. All the staff were so lovely. We went in may and it wasn’t too busy so was perfect for us. We booked out the hut on the pier which was nice and private. The waiters brought us champagne, fresh fruit and biscuits. They made sure we were well looked after. Will definitely come back to this hotel.

Really enjoyed ourselves , the hotel is very good, rooms are nice, food was nice somewhat repetitive as with most all inclusive holidays. Staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Beach bar is great. Aeryton and the entertainment staff were really friendly and made our days/nights fun. Bar staff , waiters were amazing. Enjoyed so much going back in September. ECE had been a very good entertainment rep, we have had such a fun nights she’s a very nice and kind member of staff. All the nights we’ve had she’s been very helpful and always made us join in with all the entertainment, been a. Very fun holiday.

The hotel is brilliant, so many things included like a spa, pool and beach with free amazing food aswell, Staff are very friendly the reps are very good with all types of people, especially ECe, very friendly staff member and very enthusiastic

Hotel nice. food not the best. Bottom bar you need to watch your drinks as I asked to not have my mojito To Strong and he added tequila with me not knowing 😕 rooms are really nice and cleaned every day. Entertainment is not the best first Saturday bingo started at 9pm.

Service… what service. They are so busy serving the Germans I was frequently ignored in the bars.
They speak very little English. This is a German mass production hotel.
I asked for 2 diet cokes. The waiter in the patisserie couldn’t understand me.
Side is a dump of a small village with rip off fake products.
This hotel is SO big busy, noisy that attention to detail is non existent.
You are at least a 50 minute walk from the centre of Side. Taxis costly €13 each way..
No one speaks English, everything in German. No one accepts credit card. You need Euros
Side and Antalya are like Spain was in the 70’s and 80’s backward.
Not suitable for those with a walking disability like myself. The path to the beach from the hotel is VERY steep and no hand rail on the stair way. The beach bar is nice
Would I come back here. NOT IN A MILLION YEARS.

The hotel was beautiful rooms were nice very posh and modern large balcony .
You had to pay 26 euro for taxi to change money hotel didn't do it.just a few little shops beside it who try and take your eyes out with stupid prices.firstly made appointment for pedicure when I went they said I hadn't gave me another appointment for Xmas night it was closed then it was open I cancelled didn't bother going back it was always empty the girl was either on her phone or doing her own hair every day.hotel was full off Germans no English channels on tv.
Food wasn't good wish was a let down. Burgers 2 times a night pasta and fish every night no carvery on either I been to 3 star hotel where food was much better
The patisserie was open also waffle 3 till 4 couldn't get in for the Germans. So never had one yet.
Soup 11 till midnight and bread it fine.e if you like shrimp soup or garlic soup no thanks.
It rain for the full week thunder, lightening hail stones size of golf ball , nothing like xmas just like another day so won't be going back the bed was the best I've slept in which was one good thing as I have a bad back

Hotel "Sense de luxe" is the best hotel what I've ever been. Amazing is everything. I recommender this hotel. Next year I will arrive again to this hotel. Good service. Food is the best. Nice personal. Good performance. Good show for children.
