An absolutely wonderful stay
Pros:

We were so impressed with the stay at this location (very clean room, good night sleep, convenient location), that we opted to stay one more night. So glad we did. We were most impressed with how friendly the staff was, and how they made us feel like valued customers. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to other travelers.

A nice stopover

One of the newer hotels in town. (I think we've now stayed at three of the newer hotels as we stop often in Wichita Falls on our way to our final destination.) LaQuinta appears to be upgrading their hotels around the country, as we've stayed in others in Texas and Colorado that are replacing the dated ones. Beds were comfortable, room clean, A/C worked well, staff were courteous. The complimentary breakfast was pretty typical for this sort of hotel, certainly adequate and nicely presented. The room rate was in keeping with the market if not perhaps a bit lower than the competition. This facility allows pets if that's an issue for you. The dining area is roomy, pleasant, and with a sign clearly explaining that the dogs are not allowed in the food areas. Overall, our stay was quite good other than management's choice of putting Fox News instead of something pleasant like the Weather Channel on the television in that area.

The staff was wonderful.

Cons:

The door to my room did not lock securely, the room and hallways smelled like bug poison and the worst part for me was the bed was VERY high! I needed a step stool to get in and out of bed but they didn’t have one. I have back issues and had just driven almost 1000 miles so climbing in and out of bed was painful. I was suppose to stay 3 days but the property agreed to refund the other 2 days so I could go find another bed at a different hotel.
