Hotel Gran Canaria Princess - Adults Only

We are here now and yes there are small changes. Its to be expected when the hotel is under renovation. We have been here 14 times and still love it. Staff are friendly. Queue for drinks at night do not go down as quickly as they used to staff shortage maybe. I will do a full review at the end of holiday. I worked in travel and recommended quite a few people to this hotel and they always gave good feedback. One disappointment is WHERE IS HOLMES????? Best entertainment ever.

This hotel is really lovely, so clean. On arrival the staff were so helpful. The only fault with the hotel is the food. Although there is a wide range of different foods it is a bit repetitive, one day is like another. The maids clean the rooms every day and they are very clean. Would we come back, yes probably.

Lovely hotel, good points are, all staff very friendly, very clean, lovely pools and if you want quiet space go relax at the spa as sun lounges and whirlpool, bus stop right outside hotel and exploring is very cheap
Bad points, food is shocking, if you like loads of salt and sugar to make it taste great then ok for you, meats are normally undercooked and very fatty, not much choice and very bland, but can’t please everybody, lunchtime food found to be the worse and don’t bother with snack bar unless you fancy night on the loo!! Also they smother food in garlic, I’ve been to other princess hotels and feel this is the worse of them, but don’t let it put you off, beach short walk away, plenty of crazy golf nearby, in general hotel is beautiful it’s just the food is horrid

Great location, lovely hotel, food good overall great holiday

Great hotel second visit.
Only downside is they don’t appear to be enforcing the sunbed rules as there were people reserving sunbeds before 10am then going to breakfast. This was one of the reasons we like the hotel but if they don’t enforce it people will continue to do it and it will only get worse.
Also some nights the entertainment was more like kids entertainment than adults.
Other than that it’s a great hotel, staff are friendly.

The Hotel is well kept, clean and all the staff and very friendly, the food is excellent.
especially the breakfast. the pools side areas are nice and chill i love that people can't put down their towels and claim a spot and then just turn up at 3pm.
rooms are large and you can really spread out, they feel quite homely.
evening entertainment is pretty cool too we watched the acrobatics which i enjoyed missed the circus acts but from what i can tell every one enjoyed it the social area was packed.
All inclusive it the pest option for this hotel it really is bang for your buck.
there is a bus pick up just out site the hotel to the left about 10/20 meters if you want to go out of town.
there are many shopping/entertainment complexes just a short walk, we really liked the "kasbar" there is a bar called "Turbo Rock" great atmosphere.
at 11pm your balcony light goes out and its pretty quiet from around midnight but once you close your door you can hardly hear anything anyways. we will be back its an easy decision. 10/10 highly recommend. ohh PS the weather is fantastic if you like the heat wasn't expecting it to be so amazing in June.. little did i know

On arrival we got a taxi to the hotel £40, they are redoing the facade of the hotel at the front of the hotel, it did not effect our stay we were at the back and the noise was minimal. Our room was impressive 7th floor sea view in the distance, a bottle of fizz and welcome letter wishing us a happy anniversary. The bed was huge and comfortable, good sized shower, toiletries, spacious balcony, tea, coffee, water and English channels. Everywhere in the hotel was spotless and the staff were helpful. We loved the spa area and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere with Bali beds, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. We booked two massages for our anniversary £85 and £95 for 80 minutes expensive but very good, I would recommend the facial. The surroundings of the hotel were spotless with beautiful palm trees and plants. There were plenty of sun beds and no annoying deposits for pool towels the pool is mostly shallow but clean, the pool bar is mainly self service, we loved the coconut rum, white wine, fizz, fizzy drinks, water, San Miguel and Irish cream, the cocktails were not the best. The beach is left of the hotel and straight down, a 10 minute walk with steps to Playa del ingles or a 30 minute walk no steps to Maspolomas. The beach areas are lovely the surrounding area is built up with lots of hotels, sports bars and lacks character. We went to the market on the Saturday, turn left out of the hotel and left again a 15 minute walk, fake merchandise with a few traditional stalls and there are bars opposite the market to have a drink. The entertainment was okay we loved the acrobatics but the music was catered for the older generation, there was a mixed age group staying at the hotel. The smoking areas were small at the entertainment and uncomfortable, we moved the chairs, the sofas were often taken in the smoking area with people that didn’t smoke or vape. You can’t smoke or vape around the pool there is one small corner to smoke in which was often busy. The food is good lots of options we never went hungry, ignore the negative reviews. The inside restaurant feels like a canteen, we preferred to sit outside which had a nicer feeling. The hotel is excellent value for money we booked with Expedia a package deal. We got the transfer back which is at the hotel next door a 2 minute walk. We had a lovely relaxing holiday and would definitely recommend, thank you for making our first anniversary a memorable holiday.
