Hotel Gran Canaria Princess - Adults Only

I got a truely warm welcome from Receptionists Oliver and Tina upon my arrival - this trip marking 7 years since my original back in 2019. I have been very fortunate to stay in my chosen room, on numerous trips in the past few years too. The quality of room is very well maintained and its size is excellent. The housekeeping team across the whole site do a great job. It has a very large - well maintained - pool area - one pool heated , the other natural temperature. The Hotel's food quality remains of high standard with wide variety of dishes. The Bar Staff are a brilliant team. Notably Cristian, Marcus, Angel and new members like Kevin. I think This Hotels Staff really are Its greatest asset - its why I titled this review my happy place. I've already booked my next visit for later this year.

Everything's great.

Positives:
- Everywhere is immaculately clean
- Sofa bed surprisingly comfortable
- Great entertainment (we had a drag queen, musical acts, circus, magician)
- Friendly bar staff
- Loads of places around the hotel both inside and outside to relax
- No shortage of sunbeds at all
- Lifts weren’t nearly as bad as people have made out in reviews. Just remember to use the sneaky 3rd lift!
- Lovely outdoor seating at the restaurant
- All pool snacks eg chips are cooked fresh to order - no lukewarm chips!

Negatives:
- Felt like a really good 3 star rather than a 4 star eg cocktails from a machine but we were happy with this as it was a bargain holiday for us! I thought reviews about fruit juice at breakfast were OTT but having visited - it really is that bad!
- Reception staff gave very little info during check in, a hotel map or explanation of where things are eg the gym would be useful. At check out there was no “how was your stay” etc
- Very repetitive music around the pool! You’d hear the same song multiple times a day
- As a vegan I was excited to see the inclusion of a ‘vegan corner’ of the buffet, however this only featured during evening meals and was mostly similar to what was otherwise found on the main buffet eg veg stew. On multiple occasions this had non vegan meat/dairy dishes which was a worry, but we also had some vegan meatballs and vegan chilli stuffed potatoes. The main buffet had lots of salads, grains etc which was enjoyable. Sometimes buffet items had every single allergen listed, or none at all, when it was obvious that wasn’t the case which did concern me so it was a lot of second guessing. I was advised to order off-menu at breakfast time for specific lunch and dinner vegan options (eg a vegan burger) but I didn’t want to be held to a specific meal time and part of the enjoyment of an all inclusive is picking what you fancy from the buffet! On the whole I did enjoy the salads I had and it was also great to have vegan milks and yoghurts at breakfast. I was happy to be here with non-vegan friends, but I’d likely go elsewhere if it was just me/with other vegans wanting to prioritise brilliant food options. Only vegan pudding option (unless preordering) was fruit.

El buffet era variado y con horarios muy flexibles. Genial que el hotel sea "adults only". Relativamente cerca de la playa. Se agradece que en la zona spá, tanto la sauna como el baño turco sea de acceso libre.

Room was good size, very clean and good sized bathroom with walk-in shower, with controls at the entrance to avoid getting wet with cold water before the warm came through! Pool area was good, with adequate free loungers. The spa was excellent - we had 2 couples treatments for 80 minutes and both were fab!

Hotel excellent, reception very helpful, cleaning staff excellent,room very good but air conditioning needs looking at, fridge could do with replacing but working, food pot luck for being hot depending on when you get there. I'm afraid some of the staff especially the bar staff can be a bit unfriendly, overall we would go back.

Great value 4 star hotel, fairly central location. Did half board which was very good, good variety of food at breakfast and dinner. Hotel has a nice wellness spa area too. Staff very friendly too.

Currently staying at this hotel. Staff very attentive and friendly, good choice of food and drinks whilst on all inclusive. Clean comfortable rooms with huge beds. Pool nice and warm. Already looking to book up for next year. Central location, just 10 minutes from both beach and yumbo center.

The facilities, entertainment schedules, staff!

The staff were always friendly & helpful.
The hotel was well kept - pool, dining room & entertainment area were well managed.
The nightly entertainment was hit & miss....sometimes a bit cringy like balancing acts, but the singers were good.
Unfortunately, the bed sheets weren't changed all week, which was disappointing. However, the towels were changed daily.
We had breakfast daily which was plentiful & they provided a variety that would suit most tastes.
We contacted reception as our shower tray was overflowing & it was promptly rectified.
Overall I would be happy to return & would recommend this hotel.

Pulizia giornaliera e cambio asciugamani puntuale ogni mattina,colazione internazionale, dolce e salata, adatta ad ogni palato..pranzo abbondante e cene a tema ogni sera differente..apprezzato molto serata Mexico e serata sushi..e poi tanto pesce cotto in tanti modi..sempre fresco e saporito. Se volete rilassarvi senza bambini che strillano e stressano, questo hotel fa al caso vostro..qui potete davvero ricaricare le batterie. 2 Piscine a disposizione pulitissime una a temperatura ambiente e l'altra riscaldata..e poi bar a bordo vasca, bar all'interno e bar nella sala spettacoli. Consiglio di fare la formula all inclusive che conviene davvero tanto soprattutto se bevete tanta acqua . Posizione centrale..circa 10 min a piedi per raggiungere playa des ingles e il lungomare pieno di negozi.
