Expected a Hilton buffet breakfast to be of much higher quality. My grown children laughed about it.
I really liked the layout of the room, the bathing supplies and the full kitchen (you need to be clearer each room has a full kitchen. I had no idea snd I would have brought dinner if I’d known, adding value to the stay). The couch is comfortable but I did not use the tv as there was debris in the remote that looked like fecal matter and I was not willing to clean it!
The black out curtains were great.
I did appreciate there was a bag of extra linens should we need something.
I also appreciate the roll of paper towel.
Breakfast was a great surprise and was abundantly stocked, even at 9 when we got downstairs.
It was an EXEMPLARY experience. The staff on our stay at the buffet were outstanding and very patient. They refilled and cleaned constantly. They deserve recognition.
I saw an interaction between who I assume was a manager and them at around 9:35/9:40 and he wasn’t particularly kind even tho they were trying to clean up. He needed to lead with a kinder tone, imho.
I LOVED that tampons and pads were supplied in the public women’s bathroom. A stash of 2 pads plus 2 tampons in the rooms might be nice too.
Shower gel vs soap may make more financial and environmental sense. There is a soap bar in the sink should someone prefer that.
The bedroom air circulator blows directly on the bed. It’s very uncomfortable and off-putting. I had to use the office chair and a large pillow to redirect the air or it would have kept me awake
Nit that that would have been an issue, the bed was atrocious. The pillows were terrible and there was food under the bed.
The dishwasher hadn’t been put away prior to my visit. There is no dish soap to wash dishes and other items I might need to wash. The drain plug was brown with slime. It should be cleaned.
The bathroom was not up to standard. The portion covering the pull bar screws was dangling and thus the bar is loose from wall rot.
The back of the door is scraped of paint and the toilet seat was loose and dirty. There was no SHOWER CAP available which I expected so did not bring my own. With a fixed shower head you must provide one.
The light at the hood fan/microwave was out so I needed to leave the overhead light on as it was the warmest light. This was a frustration as I just wanted a bit of light not to have to close the door.
The shower plug was non-functional so I had to remove it entirely. Not pleasant.
I also needed to sew up a tear in an item and there was no sewing kit. I do expect sundries at a nice hotel. It was nice to have glassware. Most of the plates were chipped or dirty.
We chose this hotel out of several in the area for its suites, saltwater pool and included breakfast. The suite was clean and comfortable, and the kitchenette was equipped well enough, but could use an updated coffeemaker and better quality coffee.
The location is great - very close to the antiques and farmers markets, and a short drive to the village and other amenities.
The pool was disappointing. It’s small, shallow, too warm and there didn’t seem to be much movement. There were clumps of hair and a rather large dead bug in the water, and the pool deck is quite slippery when wet. It wasn’t well lit, and didn’t seem to be used much.
The breakfast was fine, just average, although there were a number of options, as was the food at the manager’s reception. However, the service was exceptional no- the staff helpful, friendly and accommodating.
The hotel was recently renovated, has good wifi and seems to have quite a few long-term guests, which contributed to a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
The price was competitive so we would definitely consider staying here again knowing what to expect.
Breakfasts was not impressive either morning. Eggs were cold and dry. Sausage both mornings were under cooked and not appealing-needed done browning-turkey sausage not nice and tasteless. Hot buffet was on the cool side. We are not picky but there was a lot to be desired. You need to really review menu and spend time with preparzz as toon staff. It was not a “Hilton” standard.
Good comfortable large room-very clean. Housekeeping staff went aboard and beyond. Kitchenette well stocked. Loved our stay except breakfast-which could be readily remedied.
Fabulous hot breakfast with foos that actually tasted good. Lots of items to choose from. Room was very comfortable, larger than what I expected. Good amenities and a table to do work was much appreciated. Also, good number of plugs for electronics. Location was easy to get to, quiet, and like that Sobeys and Shoppers Drug Mart were close by.
Check-in staff could have been friendlier.
Breakfast was a great selection
The breakfast was a little hectic. You just had to wait for more to come out. They ran out of the cut up fruit. Maybe a little longer would make it easier to accommodate so many people.
Good location, clean
Was woken up at 5am and again at 7 am with the fire alarm
I had asked this morning for a late check out one additional hour.l was denied from the hotel and supported by homewoodsuites customer service because housekeeping could not accommodate the request.,due to heavy schedule.l have stayed at this hotel 6 nights in the last two weeks and had housekeeping maybe once. However now l am being told there to busy.l am a 72 year old handicapped man who never complains.l have a son in hospital and l am traveling back and forth from toronto .l had told them this but l guess customer service has gone the opposite direction from modern technology.
Very accommodating and pets can stay
Location for st jacobs playhouse theatre perfect. Restaurants close by. Free breakfast was perfect. Staff very accommodating and friendly.
Honestly customer service was terrible. If you don’t believe me, go and find out the hard way, there are many hotel options in the vicinity. I’d recommend going there.
The room was spacious and had everything I needed. The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful.
The bathroom was a bit dusty but the room was otherwise clean
Hotel was very nice and modern. The room was large and had everything you need.
Pillows were flat and the ceiling fan only had one setting (high)
