Chambre familiale très spacieuse, bien climatisée et au calme.
Petit coin cuisine.
Emplacement un peu excentré ( d'où le calme) mais c'est ce que l'on recherchait et parfait pour faire le grand palais, Wat Pho et wat Arun à pied. Personnel très gentil.

Meanwhile, at the same early hour, the swimming pool, below the rooms.on the other side, becomes the training ground for a team of aquatic hopefuls. The swimming pool may be laned off at any time should the squad appear.

Proper stay
Pros:

Sivalai Place was a really nice surprise in Bangkok. It’s a calm, peaceful place located in a residential part of the city, away from the typical tourist crowds — which I honestly appreciated a lot. Because it’s not right in the middle of the main attractions, you’ll usually need to take the MRT, a taxi, or rent a scooter to reach the more famous spots, but that trade-off gives you a much quieter and more local feel. Additionally the room was comfortable, air-condioned and spacious, and the bed was great for resting after long days out in the heat. The staff were fine and helpful when needed, and everything felt smooth and easy overall. There’s also a pool on site, which was nice to have for a relaxing swim or cooling off during the day. Nothing flashy, but definitely a solid extra that adds to the comfort of the stay. Overall, I’d recommend Sivalai Place to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable stay in Bangkok that feels more like living in the city than just visiting it.

Cons:

However, there was one issue that I really didn’t like and I think it’s important to mention it. The hotel clearly states that it is a non-smoking property (which I understood, especially considering the sports facilities like the pool and tennis courts). But what I found unfair was the complete lack of any designated smoking area — not inside the property and not even outside in front of it. In my opinion, banning smoking is one thing, but completely ignoring the needs of guests who smoke is not a good approach.

Even worse, the housekeeping staff entered my room while I was inside, without knocking or warning, apparently to check if anyone was smoking in the room or on the balcony. That was absolutely unacceptable for me. Entering a guest’s room without knocking, especially when the guest is present, is not standard practice and felt like a serious lack of privacy and respect.
