Very pleasing few nights near the centre of York
Pros:

Didn't really know what to expect but nothing seemed to be too much trouble here! A rather odd hotel as over the years it has been able to 'add' next door as it's grown. It therefore resembles a terrace knocked together into one. However it was a really nice place to stay. There always seemed to be staff everywhere and they were a helpful and pleasant lot. Room was good enough for a couple of nights, plenty of storage space available. Good breakfast served in the dining area to the rear and again, plenty of cheerful staff on hand. Relatively quiet for where it was situated and only 15 - 20 mins walk from centre of York. Bonus was the availability to have tea/coffee served at any time!

Cons:

Parking was an issue only having 6-8 spaces but it's understandable with that type of property.

God frokost. Fine fellesområder. Hyggelig og behjelpelig personale.

Cons:

Bad var slitt og føltes ikke helt rent. Dårlig trykk i dusj.
Utrolig varmt når vi var der (men det var under hetebølge), og ingen aircondition eller vifte.

We konden gelukkig voor het hotel parkeren, de plaatsen waren beperkt. Verder prima service van het personeel, goed ontbijt. soms even relaxen in de voortuin. makkelijk bereikbaar en 15 min lopen naar het oude centrum.

Cons:

beperkt menu als je in het hotel dineert.

Perfekt für einen Zwischenstopp.
Pros:

Super Lage, Stadt ist mit kurzem Weg erreichbar. Leckeres Frühstück und eine Bar mit einer umfangreichen Bierauswahl am Abend. Kostenlose Parkplätze in der Straße vorhanden.

Two night break
Pros:

Friendly service very accommodating staff , due to an urgent issue at home our dates of stay were able to be moved slightly to accommodate us at short notice by management. Very appreciated. Lovely welcome on arrival with coffee and biscuit whilst awaiting our room sat outside in a lovely garden area at the front of the hotel. Great breakfast and the bar was fab.

Cons:

The shower head had to be adjusted in our room but this was dealt with promptly by staff.

The ratings felt a bit higher than what we experienced
Pros:

The location was great. The hotel was in the safe, quiet and green area close to the center and the old town. And we were lucky to have a parking space available. and we appreciated the welcome coffee and tea.

Cons:

The sink and a shower in the bathroom were clogged which made the bathroom feel unclean. And the most disappointing was the breakfast. The menu was basic and the food cheap and poor quality - barely edible. And, the portions were far too small. Breakfast was served by the staff instead of being self - service which made the process unnecessarily slow and limited guests’ freedom to choose what and how much they wanted. overall, the meals were well below the standard you would expect from this type of accommodation.

Excellent hotel and location
Pros:

The choice at breakfast was excellent and having a lovely lawn at the front of the hotel to sit in with a drink was ideal. The location is great too.
