Just beware of the stairs if your room is upstairs, a bit noisy with the renovations on top floor
Brilliant location for walking into York . We were also lucky to be able to get a car parking space in the hotel car park . Excellent breakfast
Bathroom could do with modernising - not a problem for us though .

Shower was a bit hit and miss, either too hot or not hot enough. Access to car park was confusing due to the roadworks being carried out,Although this was not the hotels fault though.

Good location. Pleasant room, staff on reception and in restaurant were very nice.
Staff member at the bar was dismissive and rude.. This experience of poor customer service is reapn for low rating.
Beautiful old hotel, well loved. The lobby and bar are great, so cozy and welcoming. Twin bedded room on ground floor was spacious and had beautiful big windows.
Attentive friendly staff, 10 to 15 minute steady stroll to the City centre. Good clean facility's. Lovely family run hotel.

Nice and pleasant and close to the centre of York.. 6 minute walk...I got parked outside the back ..brilliant 😳 breakfast was very good .
There were road works and so it took a little while to get in to area ..I know this should be finished soon but

The staff spotted that my single bed with the end against the wall was not suitable for me as a tall man and moved me to a more suitable room where I could hang my feet off the end of the bed. They started this process without me having to ask. Brilliant customer service. The breakfast was good, and the table service was excellent. I would stay here again

The location, the breakfast, very clean with daily cleaners coming in.
Lumpy pillows, uncomfortable matress, no soundproofing - could hear a man downstairs snoring all night.
