We always stay at La Sabana whenever in San Jose, and we are always so happy with out stay. It is an oasis of calm in a busy city. Not only is it beautiful, but all the staff is wonderful and goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect.

A lovely hotel near everything I needed to be near but on a quiet calm street. The hosts were very polite helpful and gracious. I will definitely stay here again. It’s not new but it’s immaculate.

Superb relaxation in San Jose!
Pros:

La Sabana is the perfect botique hotel perfectly located by Sabana Park and a variety of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. A complimentary and very healthy full breakfast is served poolside every morning. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly, keeping the hotel spotlessly clean.

The staff was wonderful. The mattress was a bit lumpy, but it didn't keep me from sleeping. Shower head/ water pressure meant a fairly small cone of water. Once I adjusted the angle of my tablet the wi-fi signal strength improved dramatically. Good breakfast served by very pleasant ladies. Location is a bit out of the way, so front desk had to call me a cab each day I was there. On the last day, no cabs were available, so Maria called me an Uber.

The quietness, the welcoming staff, and the outstanding service are second to none.
I have another business trip coming this summer, La Sabana will be the one and only place I will be staying at.

This hotel is only two stories tall and very quaint. The pool area is small, but beautiful. The service at this hotel is second to none. Valentina and Enrique are fabulous and an asset to the hotel. There is nothing they would not help you with. They would do it with a smile. The restaurant staff was very attentive, and the food was fantastic, the cleaning crew just as friendly and efficient. The rooms were amazing. The hotel is not perfect. The rooms are a little on the small side. It is not a modern hotel by any standard and still use a physical key. There is no elevator so pack lightly.


Highly recommended and I will stay here again.

Sweet place, clean and tidy, attentive and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Were given a one bedroom suite which was a surprise, but didn't have any outside space. Loads of room inside though. Handy for park and good local restaurants.
