Hotel 27

This is an older hotel trying to help revitalize a dying downtown area. It’s adequate except the continental breakfast was rather sad. Cereals children might want but shouldn’t eat, a tiny pancake machine and mini muffins with some fruit. The lighting was inadequate too. But the towels were almost luxurious compared to other inexpensive hotels.

The room was large and spacious. The breakfast was not much. The coffee was cold and the hot water for oatmeal was cold. When I told the clerk, the manager said she was getting ready yo check it. I was in the breakfast area at least 15 min and no one ever came in. Poor customer service.

We had a wonderful stay with a clean room, great service, and a beautiful courtyard to relax and enjoy a bit of fellowship and laughter.

The hotel is located in downtown Greenville the staff was really nice and helpful they have breakfast which I didn't take advantage of the bed was very comfortable there was big fluffy towels I really like the fact that there is a smart tv so I was able to use my Netflix and Hulu

The room I requested was supposed to be handicapped accessible, however, the bathroom was not. The shower head was unreachable, the base of the shower entrance was too high for my wheelchair to roll over and not flexible and only one unreachable hand handle that was not adequate for anyone who is disabled. Will never stay at this property. The room was moldy and had an odor.

The staff was so very helpful. Went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The room was huge (suite), and very clean. Elevator and Continental Breakfast. Great price!

Absolutely awful! Prom Queens twerking I top of rented cars in the parking lot. Then they went all over the building for photos. I asked them if had a permit and of course the said no. The little mouse at the desk let them run all over the building. Not safe . No security. Not staying again.

The staff allowed an extremely noisy and disruptive party until 2am. The hotel was almost empty, yet the party was booked adjacent to and accross from oir room. We will not stay there again.

We had a grand suite for the Easter Weekend and prepared an Easter supper in the suite. It has a fridge, a cooktop, a microwave and good counter space. What we didn’t like was a high school prom taking place on the Saturday before Easter and all the carrying on ( motors racing, taking photos in the parking lot and all around, etc. ) all into the Easter Sunday. School officials, Really ! A religious holiday for at least two religions! However, we did get sleep Sunday night, but they carried on all during the day and I felt it wasn’t safe to use the courtyard. I smelled weed several times. Keep in mind it was outside the property. Where were the police?

My stay with hotel 27 was a great experience! I enjoyed every bit of it! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Arriving here we discovered a welcome with a smile and bottled water in our completely renovated and updated, large room.
The building has been a hotel since the 1880s; more recently the community improvement organization, Main Street Greenville, has renovated and modernized the building into a fine and functional space.
The rooms are large, with microwave and fridge and big and fluffy towels.

A tasty but simple breakfast is served daily in the attractive downstairs
breakfast room. It includes fresh pancakes, juices, muffins, fruits, cereals, yogurt, coffee and teas.
There is also a patio available to guests. Large and well furnished, it makes for a pleasant and relaxing option.
Interestingly, the hotel is operated as a not for profit, assisting in Greenville’s effort to preserve their historic town center.
The rooms include free wifi and desk phones, a good thing too because we discovered our particular carrier, a major nationwide company, didn’t have service in the area.
There are dining options nearby. The mighty Mississippi is right out back with its cooling breezes. The main roads to Greenville are good, mostly four lane or improved state highway, making the drive from Natchez, Jackson, New Orleans or points north, for example less of a chore. We’re glad we stayed here!
