Hippocampus

It’s on the beach, which is of course, great. Room is clean. Water is hot. Air is cold. Fan in room was broken. While the drinks are good there find another place to eat. Very disappointing. Dive resort personnel were rather rude and acted like you were bothering them when you asked a question. So needless to say I went somewhere else to dive.

Overall the place isn’t bad, but next time I’ll definitely stay so where else. So many options.

Bedste sted på øen. Mest chillede vibe, og ligger i gåafstand til alt. Man kan fra Hippo udforske alt, samt bare hænge ud. De har den dejligste dykkerskole tilknyttet, og de gør meget for lokale mennesker og dyr. 100 hjerter til dette sted!

Get location and friendly helpful staff. Goid was also great, included breakfast menu was the best i've had in the Philippines to date.

super sejour dans cet hotel. Nous avions booké les plongées avec le dive center partenaire et tout etait absolument parfait. Restau sur la plage avec beaucoup de choix et tres bon. Literie confortable. Très propre.

Cozy rooms

The management at Hippocampus we’re excellent. We booked the room less than 24 hours before arriving but they responded to emails immediately and organised our transfer from Cebu airport.

The rooms at Hippocampus are fairly basic but still some of nicest on the island from what I saw. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the ac works well. The balcony is also really nice especially if there is a rainy patch. WiFi didn’t work in our room but you can just walk down the stairs and it connects in the restaurant or on the beach although can be slow.

The shower water is slightly salty however we extended our stay and moved hotel (Hippocampus was booked up) and their water was the same. This is just how it is on malapascua. The water was nice and warm though and the pressure was ok and you get used to the slight saltiness!

Very nice hotel on the beach. Having salt water piped into my shower and sink was very strange and not enjoyable at all. Showering in salt water? No thanks. Next time I'll stay in a hotel that has Fresh Water.

War schöner Aufthalt, direkt am Strand, angenehme Livemusik bis 22 Uhr. WiFi nur beim Restaurant. Grosser Frühstückteller, am zweiten Tag dauerte es aber eine Stunde. Sonst alles Okay.

comme dans beaucoup de clubs de plongée, l'hébergement est simple mais très correct. Nous avions réservé une chambre sans climatisation ni eau chaude mais avons été immédiatement "upgradé" gratuitement. Service très efficace, staff sympathique. Très bon séjour.

Very nice location and clean comfy room

Had a great stay at Hippocampus, incredible value for money and one of the best restaurants on the island! They are also right next to Devocean Divers which is a great dive shop!

Great location over the main beach line of Malapascua. Delicious sandwiches and very kind and attentive staff.
