I loved the historical aspect of the building. The staff was also very friendly.
I did not like the weird and random looking attic type latch above the shower. It crept me out ... I also did not like the fact there were no robes in the rooms, coffee machine or additional blanket.
Good choice for a comfortable stay in Tampa. Loved the hot chocolate and holiday treats in the lobby. That was a welcomed December surprise.
Terrible service. We came here with a group and four of us had to wait over 3 hours for our rooms. Two of us are still waiting and they won’t give us updates
We hosted our annual law school barristers ball at the courthouse and it was an excellent experience start to finish. Heather, our coordinator was a pleasure to work with, super attentive and helpful from start to finish, walked me through the entire process and was available whenever I needed her. Her staff a the hotel (Sam, Ivan, Diego and Masha) was also incredible! On the day of our event when stress was high and pressure was on, they accommodated my every need, worked with my crew to set up the event down to every single detail, and made sure every last minute request was met. Not to mention the historical atmosphere of being in the actual judges chambers and staying in a gorgeous hotel to end the night. Absolutely 10/10. I can’t thank everyone enough for making our students and faculties experience more perfect!
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
It wasn't very family friendly. There was also a weird sulfuric smell when we were going to bed.
This was by far the absolute worst hotel experience I’ve ever had! My friend and I were super excited for a girls night getaway and chose le Méridien because of its location to a concert we were attending. We figured, ‘treat ourselves’ right? …we should have just chosen to drive home to Orlando.
The room was fine and we had a decent check in. When we got back to the room around 1a that’s when it all went downhill. We got back to our room and within minutes noted the fire alarm battery was chirping. We called the front desk and were told someone from security would come check it out.
Security came in, called the front desk and told them we need another room, the alarm system mind you is at the top of a 15-20ft ceiling. Apparently, that was a no go, they were ‘sold out’. He proceeds to come back with a 5ft ladder (remember the ceiling height?) After I carried it in the room and set it up (poor dude had prob never been on a ladder in his life), he tried to then climb up the ladder on the wrong side. We got him on the right side and to our shock… he couldn’t reach.
At this point, it’s 2am, security leaves and is no where to be found and the bit at the front desk is now giving US attitude for having the audacity to call again about a situation they still haven’t fixed. We pressure her for another room, a different hotel, anything so we can get a little sleep before heading home. She finally gives in and says there’s one room, but we have to wait until 3:30a to swap and be sure the guests don’t show up. She says she’ll call us in an hour, we’ll get some earplugs and we come to the agreement, we’re not paying for our stay.
One set of earplugs gets delivered to the room… that’s all they had…
We slam a bottle of wine, carb out on pizza and manage to pass out for a few hours.
Fast forward to the next morning, no call to change rooms… By 7a we’re ready to get the hell out. Upon checking out, the manager wanted to argue with us about our stay. We were told our room would be ‘discounted’ and that we never returned at 3:30a to get a new room key… NOPE! Nobody called us… they also swapped their story around about 4 times… So after causing a delightful little scene in the lobby our room was finally comped.
This staff lies, cheats and tries to manipulate its guests… don’t fall for it. So much for 4-star Marriott service…
The catering and events team at Le Méridien Tampa is absolutely wonderful. As the catering sales manager, Heather DiGiulio was a dream to work with, demonstrating thoughtfulness and attentiveness that made my job effortless. Our banquet captains, Ivan Ropov and Sam Choukri, were equally impressive, always available and ready to assist with anything we needed. Their combined effort ensured our event ran flawlessly. They were constantly available and proactive, ensuring every last detail was taken care of. This level of professionalism and care made our event a complete success."
We stayed at this beautifully decorated hotel in a landmark historic building. The manager on duty Gabriel greeted us and answered all of our questions, offering us a rich history of the building. The lead valet was exceptionally helpful in giving us directions. We loved the courtesy tickets to the art museum and other perks. Would definitely stay here again!
My birthday was ruined at Le Méridien Tampa. I booked a weekend stay expecting a relaxing experience, but it turned into one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had. I left my room for over 5 hours assuming housekeeping would clean it — yet it was never serviced, even after multiple complaints and promises from the front desk. Management Antonio, showed no apology, no urgency, and no effort to fix it. Absolutely unacceptable for a so-called luxury hotel.
The staff, the restaurants, location, clean rooms Just great
The staff was very accommodating!
Parking is a little confusing for people not from the area, but otherwise - a great stay!
Clean and convenient.
No significant late check outs
Friendly staff.
Where do I even start?! First, know that none of your hotels.com perks will be honored. No potential for an upgrade and they wanted to ignore the platinum free breakfast perk. As far as the actual stay? Woof, that’s a saga. We got back to our room around 1am after attending a concert. We immediately noticed the battery on the fire alarm was chirping every 90 seconds at an alarmingly loud and piercing volume. We alerted the front desk and they sent up a ‘security guard’ to check it out. This guy was all of 25, heard the chirp and called the desk back stating we needed a new room. Not an option. He comes back about 10 minutes later with a 5ft ladder to fix the problem. Mind you, he’s not much taller than myself (5’5) and the ceilings are about 15ft. He proceeds to ‘set up’ the ladder (I had to lock it in place for him) and attempts to climb the wrong side. I corrected him before he could hurt himself. He, visibly not a fan of ladders or heights, gets to the third step before he realizes this ladder isn’t big enough. He says there’s another ladder but it’s too big to move and says he’ll be back in touch. I took the time to close the ladder back up, as he’d clearly never operated one.
Meanwhile, the front desk tells us they’re at 100% capacity and there’s one room that’s booked that they can’t give up until 2:30-3a. We ask for ear plugs, 1 set of earplugs were brought to the room not 2. Never got a call for a new room and wanted to fight a refund after no sleep. Stay away.
Extremely friendly staff and very clean!
The hotel is so quaint with its historical pieces. The halls look just like the court house but the rooms are modern, spacious, and clean. The restaurant has amazing food, the bar has amazing drinks, and the cafe had amazing coffee! Overall 10/10
Staff were incredibly friendly, hotel was so cleaned and deco was very modern.
