Only to take a shower and sleep.
Pros:

My bedroom wasn’t so bad, but the common area was terrible. Unclean and with a horrible smell.

La ubicación

Cons:

Desde el inicio la experiencia fue muy decepcionante. Avisamos con anticipación que llegaríamos tarde (alrededor de la 1:30 am) y nos confirmaron que no habría problema con el check-in. Sin embargo, al llegar —cansados y con muchas maletas— nos encontramos con un hostal en malas condiciones, con fuerte olor a cigarro y marihuana, y un ambiente descuidado.

Al entrar a la habitación asignada, la situación fue aún peor: las sábanas estaban sucias, había un cigarro en la pieza, las toallas no estaban lavadas y la basura ni siquiera había sido retirada. Al comentar esto al personal, simplemente nos dijeron que la habitación no había sido limpiada. Esto es inaceptable, considerando que el check-in es a las 3:00 pm y llegamos horas después.

Tras insistir, nos cambiaron a otra habitación que supuestamente era mejor (y con baño), pero tuvimos que subir todas nuestras maletas a otro piso sin ninguna ayuda del personal. Además, nos informaron que debíamos desalojar esa habitación temprano al día siguiente porque estaba reservada, lo cual fue muy incómodo.

A las 10:00 am bajamos con todas nuestras cosas listas para el cambio, ya que queríamos aprovechar el día (solo teníamos un día en San Francisco), y el personal nos respondió: “¿por qué bajaron si no los llamamos?”. Esto nos obligó a esperar nuevamente sin ninguna consideración por nuestro tiempo, teniendo que dejar nuestras pertenencias e irnos sin poder instalarnos correctamente.

En resumen: mala organización, falta de limpieza, cero preocupación por el cliente y una atención muy poco profesional. No lo recomiendo en absoluto.

I couldn't have asked for a better weekend.
Pros:

I love the location. All the staff were so kind and went out of their way to ensure I knew my way around the city. I traveled and stayed here alone and felt super safe. I also loved the view of the blinking books.

A place to sleep and shower that's about all they have to offer.

The staff was great!

Cons:

The upkeep was terrible. It looked like they started renovations and then gave up and decided not to follow through. No coffee, hot water for tea, or wash cloths! No elevator, had to carry my suitcases up two flights of stairs.
