Fantastic stay within a short drive from Scarborough highly recommended and we’ll definitely stay again.
Pros:

Stayed at the Mayfield for 1 night.Room was one of the best we’ve stayed in .clean spacious and super decor.added extras of a mini fridge,safe and fan.
Pub adjoining so no need to go anywhere else.great food and great service throughout

Nothing to dislike about the Mayfield .excellent

Pros:

Really comfortable bed - nice bedding and huge towels. Nice staff. Mirror in the room for hair drying / makeup.

Cons:

Large gap at the bottom of the bedroom door (room 7) - probably around an inch or so.

Fab place to stay room perfect for us.
Pros:

Comfy beds, linen crisp and clean. Duvet nice and light. Everything catered for. Walk in shower was good no difficulty with heat etc. Room door and bathroom door both soft closing therefore no noisy neighbours banging doors. Thanks

Cons:

Would have given 10 / 10 if there had been more coffee and milk. There was lots of decaff only 2 normal. We had a cuppa when we arrived but then there was no milk or coffee when we woke up. Its not a biggie in the grand scheme of thing hence 9/10 score.

Comfortable clean rooms

Cons:

The breakfast was £12 each and it was awful. Vegetarian breakfast was very poor vegetarian sausage sausages were awful so was the hash brown. There were cereals but no choice of mixed fruit, berries croissants pastries. Terribly overpriced for £12.

Incredible value for money, amazing staff, excellent food and drink options
Pros:

Property is clean with easy parking and everything you need in the room. Staff are lovely, stayed here several times and it is now my go to place when I’m visiting friends in Scarborough

Nice comfortable room. The location is great for exploring the region. A great cafe/restaurant Wilsons Food Hall is only 2 minute walk away.

Cons:

Parking is shared with the pub, so can sometimes be difficult at busy times for the pub.

Relaxing break ruined by horrendous noise & vibrations.
Pros:

The hotel was excellent. The room beautiful, clean & everything worked. The windows opened & there was a fan. The food was good & drinks reasonable.

Cons:

The noise was horrendous! We were situated about the function room & until 11.45 the noise & vibration was dreadful - no let up. The following morning we were greeted again at 8.30 by booming pop music. As it happened we we up & getting ready to leave - thankfully we didn’t want a lie in. People booking to stay should be warned of the terrible noise. It spoiled what was the beginning of a relaxing break

Pros:

Location was beautiful and the surrounding area was lovely hit ek was lovely and with the weather it could have been in Spain in the garden. Parking was great Food was great and reasonable price. Alcohol was not too expensive. Overall I would go back .

Cons:

We were at a 60th birthday party and I myself have worked in hospitality. The staff were miserable and one member on bar took glasses away with alcohol still in the glass .Apparently it happened a few times .I'm sorry but it wouldn't have hurt to smile when you're in front of the staff ,this to me needs addressing. People can definitely be put off by this and could reflect on whether you would return. Shame ...Apart from that the place itself was great 👍.

Pros:

The room was very well equipped and even had a mini fridge! The bed was super comfy, lots of hanging space and drawers, plenty of room in the bathroom to put your toiletries and lots of sockets. Lovely bar area with a big beer garden and plenty of parking

Cons:

To my surprise the Dyson fan in the room was not very good
