DO NOT VISIT!!! THEY BROKE INTO MY HOTEL ROOM
Pros:

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! UNSAFE!

The women working check in was sitting outside while we walked in and stared at us blankly. She was very rude and kept rolling her eyes at us. We had a dog who we filled out the paperwork for, paid the fee and the women saw her sitting in the lobby with us. We leave for dinner with the dog in our room and come back 1.5 hours later and the dog is IN THE PARKING LOT scared. We walk in and ask how did she get out and the same women started yelling at us saying how dare we accuse her of letting the dog out. She said she called everyone else staying at the hotel if it was there dog but didn't call us because she thought the dog we brought was smaller... very sketchy. We demand to talk to the manager and both of them couldn't get their story straight they kept lying and messing up. They wouldn't show us security footage and wouldn't give us a refund. I've been calling for over a week to see the footage and 'they can't find it'. we are so lucky our dog stayed near our car!! Angela the manager was rude, inconsiderate and unapologetic. Not a single worker asked if we were okay or said sorry. They claimed we were the only people with a key to the room - as if she couldn't make a master key. I am working to file a police report and am furious with the management. Larisha Jones has been avoiding my phone calls - they are hiding the tapes!! I think everyone should be fired immediately.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Stay at your own risk
Pros:

I booked this place hoping for a quick rest on our way to North Carolina. I expected an average 2 star experience, but what I got was a BIG FAT NEGATIVE -2 star experience. The rooms were not clean and I had a rash the day after which WebMD led me to believe is bed bugs bites. Stay at your own peril. This place is TERRIBLE!

Management Is Deceitful, Greedy, & Trifling
Pros:

I booked a place at Savannah Garden Inn this weekend through Southwest Travel 7 weeks prior & received 2 separate confirmations. They called and canceled on me when I was supposed to check-in at noon claiming they were "over booked" we weren't arriving until 8 p.m. I tried to work it out with management & they hung up on me twice & told me to go write a bad review. I had my gf call them and they did a little more than doubled the price per night and said rooms were avaliable. We now have to cancel our trip because all other lodging is ridiculously expensive. Do not book this place and take you business elsewhere!

Ugh! Just don’t bother...
Pros:

Dirty! From the blood on the comforter to the dead bugs in the bathroom and all the grim in between....oh and the floors that you stick to....YUCK. I can deal with old, but not dirty. The coin on the counter appears to have been there a while.

Don’t stay here!
Pros:

This has got to be the nastiest and unorganized motel 6 we’ve ever stayed! The desk clerk put us in a room that had not been cleaned from the previous people, he got mad when he had to change our room, the second room as soon as we got in it the ac quit and wouldn’t turn on again! The angry desk clerk came can tried to get it to work but couldn’t so the changed our room again! This room smelled like vomit!! If we hadn’t been soooo tired we would have went somewhere else.it looked ok from the outside but it must be one of those rent by the hour places. we paid $90 some odd dollars for this room, we should’ve slept in the car!

It was perfect.
Pros:

We wanted to enjoy the sights of Savannah and the surrounding areas at a price we could afford without compromising cleanliness. The room was clean, updated, and the front desk personnel always very accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised.

HORRID!
Pros:

Don't let the snazzy new lobby fool you! My room hadn't been updated since the 70's? Supposed to have 2 beds online & be non smoking, all rooms only have 1 & both I tried wreaked of cigarettes. Carpet had butt burns, toilet was FILTHY with urine stains on the seat, a/c hadn't been cleaned in years and was covered in mold & dust. Long story short it was for 1 night & I slept fully clothed! I touched as little as possible. If I didn't have my child with me I would have slept in my car. NEVER EVER staying at a Motel 6 again.

Motel 6 Savannah
Pros:

Do not stay here. It’s an older property, a bit of a dump, and except for the bed in my room which was large enough and comfortable, the supply of hot water, the mini-refrigerator and probably the microwave, everything else about my room and the hotel itself was barely adequate at best if not worse. There’s nothing much in the motel’s area except for other older motels, fast food outlets, and gas stations with convenience stores. I was there for four nights and my room was never serviced all the time I was there, although I did ask the person on duty at the front office to have it taken care of halfway through my stay. There was no place comfortable to set up my laptop at all. They did deliver a small desk when I asked my first day there but the desk chair in the room, the only seating at all, did not raise up high enough to be adequate for spending more than a few minutes at a time working there. The dresser/credenza thingie in the room had a small problem with bugs. Worst of all, they were supposedly working on resurfacing the tub in the room. I had to find somewhere in the area where I could buy a mat for the tub itself before I’d step into it barefoot. And when I did take a shower, there was a leak from the shower head which hit the ceiling.

Gross
Pros:

Most disgusting room I have ever stayed in. I really should have found another place but we went to Savannah to get closer to the total eclipse. We asked for an extra blanket they said no. We asked for an extra towel they said no. We asked for toilet paper they said no. We had two towels for three people. The blanket had gross stains on it. We demanded the toilet paper and they finally gave it to us from the office bathroom. When you sat on the toilet it felt like it was going to tip over. There were no lamps on the night stands. There was no clock. We killed a roach on the wall. It was soooo soooo gross. Stay far away from this place. The picture on the website is not accurate.

DUMP
Pros:

I'm giving this motel a 1 because it had a toilet! I have to say there was one maintenance man, I think his name was John, who helped me to my room with bags and was very pleasant. The hotel looked OK from the outside but taken to the first room it spelled so bad they had to move me to a second room. All the furniture was mismatched and old. There were no amenities. The maid didn't clean my room and when I asked she said that you have to request it but no one told me this when I checked in. This is a motel that people live there and is in the middle of nowhere. There is only a waffle house down the road. There wasn't even a clock or light on the night stand so I could read in bed!

Terrible room
Pros:

Room smelled really strong of smoke and being a heart surgery patient this made me unable to breathe well all night. Had ashes in the dresser drawers and on the sink. Bathtub would not drain and left dirty water standing. The noise from others partying in the other room made it impossible to sleep.

Stay Far AWAY from this crappy property!
Pros:

Within 30 minutes of checking into this hell hole the sink faucet blew off and water exploded all over my room! Terribly poor customer service from the Rude manager/"Owner" named Tesh Patel. Attempted to charge a late fee for a requested 30 minute late checkout. Not happening!! As someone who travels all over the world AND worked in the hospitality industry for over 5 YEARS, requesting a late checkout is quite common and certainly within the realm of reason if there isn't a large influx of check-ins the following day. Also, old furniture blocking the hallways near the elevator (fire hazard). Staff incompetent and lazy. STAY ANYWHERE ELSE IF YOU POSSIBLY CAN!! Will be calling my credit card company to dispute the charge for this nightmare of a stay!

I was in Savannah over this past weekend and had a great time. My stay here at the Garden was very pleasant and enjoyed every bit of it. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice and spacious. I will stay here again when I am in Savannah again. Thank you Garden Inn for accommodating us. See ya next time around!!!

Don't go There
Pros:

We stayed there because they advertised the lowest prices in town and now I know why? You get what you pay for. We stayed there for a few days at the end of July. Next vacation, we will be sure to save our money to put toward better accomodations.

Far from the best
Pros:

We arrived at 7:15pm and had to wait to enter our room as they were cleaning it. Struck us as odd, but at least it was cleaned.
The exterior looks worn but our room had been renovated and was comfortable for the most part.
The area was less than ideal. We had a two night stay. There were questionable folks roaming the parking lot. The first morning the cops were in the parking lot because someone had died (of natural causes they said). The second morning cops had been called again. We didn't ask; it was time to go!
Honestly if not for the sketchy area, people, and cops showing up daily I probably would have given it one more star.
The room was comfortable, seemed clean, and the price was affordable.

NEVER AGAIN - Shady and Sketchy
Pros:

I booked this hotel on Hotels.com for 3 nights. After arriving, I noted that it was not in a great area, actually downright sketchy area. They check you in without showing you your room, but have a sign saying "No Refunds" after you check in. Immediately upon getting to my room, I booked another hotel. I stayed the first night simply because I had no other option, but quickly learned that I could pick the lock to my door WITHOUT using the actual key pad slider you are supposed to use. All the doors to the rooms look as if they have been kicked in or broken into one way or another. They attempted to patch it on my floor by adding this concrete barrier near the key pad, but it does not stop you from being able to manipulate the lock. Inside the room there are no amenities except for a fridge that barely works. I was missing the bath tub stopper so even if I wanted to take a bath, I could not. We had to put an extra table in front of our door for security while we slept, because safety was clearly a concern. People hang out in the stairwells all throughout the night. Additionally, when I left the premises they told me to contact who I had booked through for a refund, but they were the ones who would have to initiate the refund. So when I contacted them back when I got home, the lady who answered the phone said that she could have given me another room, but all the rooms and their doors looked exactly the same, and another room wasn't going to change the safety concern. These people clearly do not care about the safety of their guests, or the property, and I would recommend this hotel to no one. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs in Georgia regarding this issue since they will not issue a refund for the two nights that I did not stay.

Highly recommended!!!!
Pros:

At Savannah Garden Hotel, the staff is courteous, hospitable, and attentive. Support services (i.e., housekeeping personnel, etc.) are efficient and helpful. The condition of the rooms is exemplary in relation to the price. This includes a number of benefits such as new carpet, satisfactory-conditioned furniture, and the marble and light fixtures are appealing. In terms of location, the hotel is in close proximity to a number of restaurants and other establishments. Highly recommended!!!

Could've been better
Pros:

Booked the night before on hotels.com as a last minute trip for the 4th of July , Pillows & towels were ridiculously small. Looked like they purchased throw pillows for a couch and placed a regular pillow case over it. Didn't intend on staying just a room to change after the beach which was 30 minutes away unfortunately, Hotels.com gave me false hope all of their review rated the hotel as a 3 star, I've should of came to tripadvisor first.

I wouldn't stay here again
Pros:

I booked this motel on hotels.com for a last minute trip to Tybee Island/Savannah. We didn't want to pay 150+ per night for a room so I chose here...total of $211 for two nights. There were pictures of the room but not of the hotel. If I had seen the outside prior to booking I would've never booked a blue motel. When we pulled up people were outside smoking on the steps. We had to drive to the other side of motel to get to our room. I didn't feel that our car would be safe. The room isn't that bad honestly but the bathroom was gross. There was dried up pee or something down the front of the toilet. I hoped that the housekeeper would notice it the next day but it still remained after she "cleaned" the room. I slept on top of the covers because I wasn't comfortable. Going forward I will never book a cheap room again. I'd rather pay to be comfortable.
