Excellent location, lovely staff, fantastic food, amazing views. Apologies for the lower quality photos as I took them off off a video I took of my room - as it was such a huge room with a beautiful sea view.

Good location, clean and friendly helpful staff
Adjoining rooms very noisy. Breakfast looks good but very limited "western" options. Eggs usually cold.

Breakfast selection limited not like before
Very convenient location — about 10 minutes by Grab to the Jesselton Point jetty (ideal for the island trips), close to the Filipino Market, and only around 10 minutes from the airport. The room was comfortable and cleaned every day, and check-in was quick and smooth. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout. The pool was pleasant, and they kindly provided a baby cot on request for our 4-year-old. A solid, comfortable stay overall — we'd happily recommend it.
The breakfast could have offered a bit more variety, especially on the sweet/pastry side — though to be fair this was fairly common in most places we stayed across Malaysia. There is also some plane noise as the airport is nearby, but honestly it didn't bother us.

The Promenade hotel is a very functional hotel in a good location. It is good value for money and a central base from which to explore the city. The rooms are very comfortable with great views.
The swimming pool is very dated, impacted by the constant road noise. Access to it is also pretty ordinary down two sets of stairs. Only having one set of steps to access the main pool is surprising. Probably the worst designed pool I have ever swum in. Very few pool loungers.
The lack of any attractive bar is also a shame. The top floor is club members only. We ended up using the rooftop bar at the Marriott across the road instead.
