Pros:

We stayed there for one night, coming from a remote beach location to catch a flight for the next day and were looking for a comfortable place at a reasonable price, and this hotel was exactly what we needed. The hotel is located in the Rio Vermelho neighborhood, a block from a "square" with great bars, acarajé, live music, etc. It is a historical home with a "modern" extension.The old part is beautiful, a great example of colonial-style architecture. Our room was in the "modern" wing, of a good size, with a very comfortable queen size bed, very good shower pressure and quiet A/C unit. A window looked over an internal garden, so it was very quiet. We could hear kitchen noises, though, in the morning. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, served in a beautiful area in the inner courtyard, very tastefully decorated with local ceramics. The staff were very nice. There was somebody at the gate 24 hours, so we felt very safe coming and going. They kept our luggage in a locked storage room, as we had a late flight. From the hotel it is a 20-minute Uber ride to Pelourinho.

Cons:

The room didn't receive direct sunlight, so it may not feel very nice to stay at during the day. But in Salvador you're not supposed to stay inside, anyway!

Pros:

Hotel und die Leute die dort arbeiten sind super. Die Lage muss man mögen. Es ist halt Mitten im Vergnügungsviertel und dadurch auch Abends länger laut. Dafür kann man dort auch Abends auf die Straße gehen.

Pros:

A localização é perfeita. Perto de tudo no Rio Vermelho e uma área segura pra fazer tudo a pé. O hotel tem um estilo único e a preservação do patrimônio torna o espaço ainda mais diferenciado e faz com que a gente se sinta dentro da historia de uma parte de Salvador. Café da manhã é bem variado. Os funcionários sao a melhor parte, muito simpaticos e prestativos (destaque para os porteiros e recepcionistas, bastante solícitos e atenciosos. Voltarei com certeza.

Cons:

Sendo muito perfeccionista, único ponto a melhorar é a falta de espaço/lugar para guardar malas e roupas, que nao no banco. Poderia ter uns cabides ou aquele suporte de mala nos quartos. Até o armario tem poucas prateleiras. E uma rede na varanda seria um belo upgrade (nao sei se os outros quartos tinham)

We liked the convenient location, the friendly atmosphere, the detailed design of furnishings, walls, gardens, the comfortable room, and the sea view.

Cons:

The system to switch on the electricity in our room was rather flimsy, and the aurcon could switch off in a few minutes.
