The music across the beach goes until late into the night
While the hotel and facilities were nice, the standout for this hotel was the staff. They were welcoming, friendly and did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
Great hotel by the beach. Pool water was actually cooling. Good variety at breakfast, very friendly staff all around.
The balcony doors have no sound proofing and there was a band playing in the hotel one night until late and the music came through very loud and clear. Not cool for early morning wake-ups.
Superb beach front location with an amazing on site restaurant
The hospitality and professionalism was exceptions. Every staff member was only too willing to assist. Concierge were so helpful as was the butler services. Welcome drinks & Porter services were a classy touch wherein the front of office show you to your room.
The rooms were top line luxury which had a lovely balcony with seating, overlooking the massive swimming pool and Seminyak beach. The room had a comfy king bed, smart tv, mini bar, full lounge suit and another area which included free drinks. Also had an office bench behind the headboard for laptop & device charging station. Huge bathroom with duel basins, shower, separate toilet and a bath to soak in with smart tv. Included in our rate was breakfast on the rooftop which was a beautiful way to start the day and had a huge range of options. To top it off, was the spectacular views of the Indian Ocean from the rooftop restaurant.
The fine dining at the Plantation restaurant is top line and classy. Had the best service and the tenderloin steak & pork belly were just perfect. An added bonus was an exception Soprano join us for a short but professional & tasteful performance, Upon checkout we also had the benefit of waiting in the owners lounge which is a departure lounge with a comfortable waiting area, complimentary drinks, computer, TV and lounges with a host to provide the consistently high level of hospitality.
There were only 2 things which I want to mention.
The wait time for poolside food orders was painfully long.
The other disappointment was that smokers were able to smoke at their table whilst dinning in the rooftop restaurant in the evening. It was such a put off we ended up leaving early due to rude stink smokers choking up what is a lovely space but contaminated by selfish smokers. Real disappointing.

The rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant and food options are good. The locations is good.
The smell that came from the air conditioners in the corridors and rooms were terrible. It is a moldy, stuffy smell that unfortunately overshadowed the positives of the hotel. We complaint a couple of times and the staff came to clean the filters of the aircon in our room but unfortunately this moldy, stuffy smell needs more than filter cleaning. Due to the high humidity, the air conditioning ducts need to be cleaned on a regular basis to ensure a clean, fresh smell in the rooms and corridors. It is unacceptable for a 5 star luxury hotel to have a stinking, malodorous smell!
