Camelot Castle Hotel

The room was clearly not cleaned or checked to an acceptable standard prior to arrival. Issues included sticky residue and staining in the bathroom, a shower head with visible build-up, dust accumulation, and a piece of ladies’ feminine hygiene wrapper beside the bed, indicating the carpet had not been properly hoovered. Although some issues were addressed after being reported, further concerns continued to arise throughout the stay. The handling of the situation by management was also disappointing and impacted what was intended to be a special occasion stay.

Ein wunderschönes Schloss mit großem Potenzial, das leider deutlich renovierungsbedürftig wirkt. Die Einrichtung war für das historische Ambiente unpassend – viele Plastikblumen, weihnachtliche Lichter und dekorative Vitrinen mit billig wirkendem Schmuck wirkten eher störend als stilvoll. Weniger Dekoration und ein klareres Konzept würden dem Haus sehr guttun.

Das als „Deluxe“ angebotene Zimmer war zudem sehr klein; selbst zwei geöffnete Koffer fanden kaum Platz. Auch das Frühstück war eher schlicht und wenig abwechslungsreich, dazu gab es lediglich Filterkaffee aus der Kanne , obwohl die Möglichkeit bestanden hätte für Espresso, Cappuccino oder ähnliches herzustellen, aber erst ab 11 Uhr, eine Stunde nach der Frühstückszeit.

Insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis aus unserer Sicht leider nicht.

Nothing. Yes, the bathrooms are small camping units, but fully functional ones and i am happy i have my own bathroom in such an old building.

La chambre était médiocre, avec pour salle de bains une cabine de douche exiguë comme on en voit dans les motels bas de gamme aux USA. La moquette était miteuse.
Et le pire, les propriétaires font du prosélytisme pour leurs idées délétères et leur société de consulting qui relève du charlatanisme au mieux et d'une secte au pire. En France cela serait interdit.

Room quality

No water or glasses in room. I have a blue badge. The lift was out of order. We were reallocated a room on the first floor. I would not have been able to reach the original room on the third floor.

La chambre, la douche : on dirait une vieille cabine de douche de bateau en plastique avec un bac à douche de 50cm et un rideau, eau chaude non régulière, literie petite et qui te fait tomber du lit quand tu est sur le bord

Downstairs wasn't quite what we were expecting, reception is an expansive gift shop with £30 fake van cleef jewellery, every downstairs surface is covered in promotional material pushing the owners art, poems, book etc. Even the amazing round table in the centre of the lounge was overtaken to promote the owners other businesses. The bathroom in the basic room we saw was shockingly old (80s hard plastic). Upgraded room triggered dust allergy for first time in our 3 hotel trip. Very touristy which some people will like

We had booked a sea view room, but only half our view consisted of the sea, so I thought another room would’ve been more suitable that directly faced the sea.
The room was decent, the bathrooms were super tiny but clean.
Their breakfast was okay, but didn’t enjoy the dinner selection.

Lift out of order and few members of staff I have not mentioned could use a little more hospitality and customer service training as we felt they were a little cold. Didn’t catch there names

Das Minibadezimmer aus Plastik in Zimmer 212.

The bathroom in our room was a plastic box, very similar to a camper bathroom, and was plopped down in the corner of our beautiful room. It was adequate, just not what we were expecting.
