I wish I didn't go to this hotel.
Pros:

The staff was nice and friendly.

Cons:

We checked out after the first night. The AC was incredibly loud, and the smoke alarm on our floor activated 2 times during the night and once in the morning (even though there was no fire), so sleeping was impossible.
Shower pod was moldy and sliding off it's hinges. We had a view onto some sort od a garbage dumb.

I always come to this hotel when i am in jakarta. near amenities, near restaurants and pubs. cental place. everything you need is just outside. hotel is great and staff is friendly and fast at settling matters. great place, cheap and comfortable

Pop Kemang used to be super comfy and clean, but now it's sadly not as well-maintained.
Pros:

First stayed at Pop Kemang in 2017, room was small but comfy and super clean. Back then, it cost around 400k per night.

Cons:

In 2025, the place feels a bit less maintained, maybe because the price dropped to 300k? This time, I just stayed for half a day to work and checked out without staying overnight. Honestly, glad I didn’t stay because the bed wasn’t that comfortable anymore. The pillowcase had stains, which should have been checked during quality control before marking the room as ready. If there are stains or dirt, they really shouldn’t be used.
The bathroom and toilet could also use a deeper clean since there was some mold. Overall, the room was still fairly clean, not dusty, and the facilities were decent. But for a longer stay, I wouldn’t really recommend it.
Also, they should add more staff during rush-hour check-ins, especially on weekends, because the queue was quite long, about 15 minutes. When I checked in, there was only one receptionist.
