Cheap and cheerful.
Pros:

Overlooking the sea. Not far from the town centre. Fairly close to local amenities.

Cons:

No breakfast and road can be noisy, I think double glazing would have helped mitigate that problem.

Eastbourne was lovely but the sttay at the hotel was a disappointment
Pros:

Bed was the worst l have ever slept in felt like l had a lump of wood in the middle of my back. Pressed the buzzer for a drink at the bar no one came to serve went to reception and was told he was busy waited for fifteen minutes no show so went to bed.

Cons:

Change bed put staff on who are willing to serve the guests.

Difficult to find parking.
Not sure what was wrong with the water but made a cup of tea and it was orange, thought it was the tea bag and had my own and my own milk so made another and it was still orange and tasted foul. The tea looked all separated and there was thick sludge in the bottom. The water looked clear but obviously something wrong with it. Ran the water for 5 minutes and it was then better but we were worried about the water and as we were running ina race went and bought water.

Pros:

Very calm and quiet, cosy and staff approachable. The most important thing they provided stuff for tea and coffee plus kettle and cups. And bathroom was neat and clean as well

Cons:

For us it seems like a bit far because we were coming and going to town and other attractions. It’s almost 15 minutes walk but still doable.

Lift not working. Had to take a room with no sea view and it had no hot water. Curtains clearly seconds. No breakfast.

Value for money pleasant stay
Pros:

The sea view from our room was excellent. High ceilings and comfortable (soft) bed and pillows. The room and bathroom were very clean. The pressure of the water was great. The bar lounge area was spacious and free to use. Filipe was very helpful throughout our stay and helped us with explaining how the parking situation works. If you want to park in the road in front of the hotel it costs £2.5 per day. There is free parking on the roads in the back of the hotel.

Cons:

As this is an old property, we felt that the room, bathroom and corridors could do with some renovation. The shower cabin in the room with the sea view was just okay for our size but a bigger person could have struggled. Although the view was amazing, the outside of the windows needs cleaning (removing spider webs and painting the external rail).

Excellent value
Pros:

The room was comfortable and in good condition. Slept well and shower was good.

Cons:

The TV was a bit fiddly, and I think the mug in the room maybe had washing up liquid residue as it tasted a little odd. Both very minor things though, and I would stay again .

Pros:

We spent one night at the hotel. Very comfortable bed. Quiet room. It was quite relaxing.
We submitted a special request and it was fulfilled.
Very good communication with the staff.

Cons:

It doesn't have a hairdryer.Parking is outside, on the street. Free 6pm till 8 am.
