Hotel Romerito

The room was really clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning
We really enjoyed dinner in the outside courtyard where we had very tasty food with a great ambiance

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Romerito. We arrived in the evening and received a very warm welcome. The location so close to the airport is perfect, which is why we booked.

The room was smaller than average and basic, but clean. The shower was very comfortable with good water pressure. The airconditioning functioned well, but was also noisy. Bed was fine. We had a good night's sleep here. We did not have breakfast, so nothing we can say about that.

What we loved very much about this hotel was the restaurant. You can sit outside in the courtyard until late (23.00) and it is nicely decorated. Friendly staff there as well and good atmosphere. The food is basic and not super fresh, but it is just what you need after a day of traveling. Although the restaurant is independent from the hotel, that should be noted.

Roadside parking was a little scary. We arrived in the dark with our rental car and were not sure if it was sketchy or not, but nothing happened, all was good.

Ignore the bad reviews. This is an absolute gem at an incredible price.
The staff are warm, friendly & welcoming.
We used as a stopover after a flight in from the UK & we arrived later than planned. Jesus & his team were so accommodating as were the restaurant staff both evening & morning.
Entrecôte steak was superb as was the entrees. Far,far better than any corporate airport faceless hotel.
Rooms are spotless & beds comfortable.
The courtyard area is just beautiful & very Spanish, we are in their country after all.
We would absolutely return when we next visit Andalusia.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, the staff, and the restaurant. But the area was a bit run down and the other restaurants were not travel friendly. We happened to be there during the Málaga Feria (fair) and THAT was an amazing experience! We walked there three evenings and just loved it.
But, minus the fair, you are VERY far from anything to do or see.
If you just need a hotel and no entertainment or sight-seeing, its perfect for relaxing and great meals.

Saw a lezard in the room and ask the receptionist to cancel my booking as it was no way for me to stay in this room.
Receptionist was so rude and si,ply said, yoru room is paid and can't cancel it.
Was forced to stay in this hotel (thanksfully in another room) and changed to another hotel the day after.

Hotel Romerito was a brilliant find; the rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were lovely, with nice big showers. The staff were very friendly and helpful, one in particular spoke very good English and was doing a great job trying to help out many last minute bookings, after a flight was cancelled (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name). They were very patient with everyone and accomodating. It was a beautiful hotel, and the courtyard was lovely to sit outside and enjoy a meal in. It is located conveniently to the airport and I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely little hotel with courtyard. All staff from reception, bar/restauraunt to cleaners could not be faulted. I would definitely stay again.

Booked hotel because of flight cancellation. Much nicer than an airport hotel.

Very clean, did not go for the breakfast option as it was quite pricey, no parking though, and this is one of the reasons I chose the hotel… I arrived late in the evening and when I arrived in front of the garage door( after a steep decent to the garage, I saw the door closed and called the intercom, I was informed the parking is full… I circled around for 15 min and parked in a taxi place available until 08.00… next morning I took the car at 7.30 and came back to the hotel to try again… more than half of the parking was empty… did all the cars just left between 01.00 in the morning and 7.30? I really don’t know… but no parking is an issue

We had a fantastic and comfortable stay at Hotel Romerito. The hotel had everything you need - comfortable bed, hot water, good shower pressure. The restaurant at the hotel offers a good breakfast as well! The hotel was very clean - there was always a team of cleaners throughout the day. More than I had seen at any hotel!

great place, super clean, in a family neighborhood. not a lot to do around but it is close to the airport and it has a cute courtyard and a restaurant on site.

nice gym, close to airport, we paid for underground parking (8 euros) which was convenient, restaurant food was good, courtyard very pretty and quiet

While I do not actually think this hotel deserves a 5 star rating I do believe it deserves a higher rating than it currently has, therefore I am trying to raise the average.
We are currently in the middle of a full weeks stay here and am using some downtime to get this task accomplished.
The "facility" itself is maintained meticulously with a very hard working staff. The restaurant within the hotel is, without a doubt the best in the neighborhood.
Remembering what we are paying for the room per night expectations need to be set proportionately to the charge. Of any hotel we ask most for 3 items
1. Good A/C - check
2. A good strong and hot shower - check
3. Comfortable bed(s) - check
We had no ants or bugs of any kind
As an Architect it really is a rather attractive and semi classically designed facility.
As in most of Spain, as Americans we are bothered by the amount and "locations," of all the smokers but I suspect it is also regulated by laws.
The ONLY drawback I have thus far, which would be free to fix it is that the staff we deal with could be a lot more congenial and hospitable to us. It might be that they are very used to Spanish speaking clientele, which, while we do our best we are not fluent.
UPDATE....The staff has now gotten used to us, or it was me however they are also very friendly struggling with little English matching my feeble attempts at Spanish.
All in all. Price to quality in.my opinion is well on the mark if not actually a super great value and find.

Arrived late at the airport so this was the perfect stop gap for an overnight stay.. the staff were welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable we had an amazing sleep. The only negative was that there was no kettle or drink making facilities.. a cup of tea on arriving at 1 in the morning would of been appreciated
