Beautiful property with a lot of character, but not without its issues. Avoid room 331 if you’re in Denver — it sits directly beside the elevator, ice machine, and a bar floor restroom, which made for two sleepless nights due to noise and foot traffic outside our door. The hotel is also in a lively area with train noise that carries. For the price point, the experience fell short of expectations. The 5 stars is honestly for management responding well and refunding our stay — we appreciated that, but wouldn’t return.
I loved the staff. The location is great. The lounge on third floor was amazing. The manager and staff was excellent in the lounge.
It was a very convenient place to stay. We flew into Denver, took the train from the airport, & took Amtrak to Colorado. Amtrak is a few minutes from the hotel.
It is very expensive.
We enjoyed two nights at The Crawford Hotel. Fun location, easy walk to Coors Field and Ball Arena. The staff was very friendly, helpful and made us feel comfortable. The loft room was clean and comfortable. We would consider a different room next time that has more windows. We were not able to take advantage of all of the offerings they provide but they do add value to your stay. The local transportation that was offered makes getting around very stress free. We had a fun time and would consider future stays at this property.
Great location and great lounge for morning coffee or glass of wine before bed! Can't beat it! The A train takes you to and from the Denver airport for only $10. Free for those under 19yo
The Crawford Hotel is a gorgeous property in a prime location. The staff was helpful and friendly, the facilities were top notch, and the decor was beautiful and welcoming while maintaining a historic feel.
Ease of catching train trip from this location.
Very expensive.
We got a LoDo suite that was magnificent! Maximalist decor well done, comfortable king bed, large living room, espresso machine and a giant super wonderful bathroom with choice of rainfall or regular showerhead. We were so comfortable! Only slight annoyance was housekeeping did not come our second day, and we had to call about 3 times to get them up at 3pm.
Had a wonderful stay! Beautiful room and amazing location, but really it was the staff that made it over the top. Alicia Galvin went above and beyond and really helped us when we had no where else to turn. She is an amazing Front Office Manager who really understands how much customer service matters. I believe she truly values the customer and that is hard to find these days. Will definitely be staying again!
Incredibly well thought out property in the old historic union station
very good location for all downtown Dever activities, especially Rockies stadium etc.
The Hotel is great, staff polished, friendly and on point!
Great F&B close by, the terminal bar is exceptional.
This is a must experience if heading to Denver. Also of note there is a relationship with the Oxford Club for the Gym, Spa etc. just close by across the street.
We stayed one night after our Canyon Spirit train vacation. The hotel is very convenient, and has a luxury feel. The room and front desk staff were excellent.
The Crawford is a gem - unique, luxurious, personal, and an ideal location for out-of-towners without a vehicle. Couldn’t have asked for more!
10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone. Great historic spot excellent location and wonderful service. Super convenient with the train coming right to your doorstep
My husband and I stayed at the Crawford hotel the room that we had was very very nicely appointed however it could have been a bit cleaner as there was some dust in hair in places that shouldn’t have been the overall location of the hotel was central to most everything downtown which was very convenient.
During check-in the amenities e.g., free coffee, ice cream, and happy hour were very vaguely explained leaving us questioning what to do afterwards.
This will also go in the “review tips” section $68 / day to park. This is in addition to $30 / day resort fee.
Amazing location, welcoming staff, and upscale room decor.
Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Elegant rooms. Comfortable beds. Hot shower. On the free bus line. On the airport train line. Close to fantastic restaurants. Our experience was amazing.
Perfect for staying if flying in/out of Denver, or on Amtrak as you are steps away from the A Line that takes you straight to the Denver Airport, and Amtrak which right there also. The building has great insulation as we barely heard the trains even though we were right next to the tracks. Upper scale hotel with great security as a person needs a room key to operate the elevator to go up to their room. After getting off the elevator, a guest also needs to use their room key to open another door that allows entry into the hallway that the rooms are on. All the front desk personnel we encountered were very nice.
Some good restaurants are in and next to Union Station. Our favorites were 'Venice' which is a fabulous Italian restaurant directly across the street. Another was 'Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant, or also known as The Rio on Wazee'. To the left of the station is 'Snooze', a very popular restaurant open 6am to 3pm, serving breakfast/brunch. A great perk is the hotel can help you to have a reserved table at Snooze if arranged the day before you want to dine there.
The Thirsty Lion restaurant is also to the left of the station. But again, there are restaurants worth checking out that are located right inside the station.
Rooms are clean but lighting leaves a lot to be desired as the rooms are dimly lit at night. Hanging space in the two rooms we had on different visits was sparse. They should take out the strange dresser drawer contraption and add in more hanging area.
One of our rooms didn't have a desk so if you want a desk to work on with or without a laptop, be sure to request a room with a desk. The room with a desk didn't have any outlets nearby except for one that a lamp was plugged into so we unplugged the lamp to use the outlet.
Furnishings are nice to look at, trendy/boutique style. The end table don't hold much on top due to the style as they curve severely on the sides which barely allows for a water bottle, cellphone, or what you want/need next to the bed at night. There was a lack of electrical outlets near the bed.
There is a raised trim piece on the floor that covers the joining of the carpet and the wood flooring that is somewhat hazardous. We both tripped on it once.
There is a $30/day fee for amenities such as a free coffee, a scoop of ice cream, transportation within 2 miles of the hotel, metal water bottles, etc.
The shower had a overhead 'rain shower' and a fixed shower head on the wall instead of a shower head that is removable and able to be held which is much more desirable. Robes hanging in the bathroom are very small.
Location is great, but there are many other hotels in the area to consider. We were able to use points accrued from a credit card or we probably wouldn't have stayed here due to the cost. But it was still nice to be able to stay inside the Union Station and experience all it has to offer.
The Crawford Hotel is one of the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed at. Its location in Denver is perfect, with a wide variety of restaurants just steps away. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay, which truly elevated the experience. Our room was beautiful, and the amenities included were plentiful and thoughtfully chosen. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Denver and would love to stay here again in the future.
