A well-deserved reputation right in the heart of Sultanahmet!
Pros:

The positive customer reviews are spot on. We had a brilliant stay.

The room was comfortable and clean, and a bottle of water was provided every day, which was much appreciated.

The breakfast buffet was good and varied; there’s easily something to suit every taste. A special mention to the ladies who run the buffet – they’re brilliant and very attentive.

The hotel’s location is a real highlight: it’s a 5- to 10-minute walk to the mosques, historic monuments and the Sultanahmet stop on the T1 tram line. It’s worth noting that there’s a slight slope on the way there, but it’s still a very quick walk and ideal for catching the T1 tram and exploring the rest of the city.

Without forgetting the hotel’s terrace, which offers a fantastic view of the sea – the perfect spot to enjoy the afternoon or watch the sunset.

A big thank you to the whole Katelya team, who are extremely kind, welcoming and helpful, including Yasin, who was a great help.

It’s absolutely flawless. A place to keep carefully noted for our future trips!

Cons:

It’s not a significant issue and doesn’t affect my overall opinion of the stay in any way, but perhaps a little greasy lubricant could be applied to the bathroom door to stop it squeaking :) :)

Ottimo albergo vicino al Bosforo, terrazza bellissima.
Pros:

ALbergo in ottima posizione, comodo per visitare i siti turistici piu importanti. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile. Colazione buona e abbondante. Pulizia impeccabile.

Pros:

Delizioso albergo di piccole dimensioni a gestione famigliare. Posizione centralissima, 5 minuti a piedi dalla Moschea Blu e quindi dal centro di Istanbul. Camera con vista mare direttamente sul Bosforo. Struttura pulita e molto accogliente. All'ultimo piano presente una terrazza attrezzata con sdraio, ombrelloni e piante dal quale si può ammirare a 360 gradi tutta Istanbul (moschea blu, santa sofia, topkapi, il bosforo, etc).
Colazione ottima e abbondante (salata e dolce) e lo staff gentilissimo e sempre disponibile.
Organizzato anche transfer dall'aeroporto la sera in cui siamo arrivati.
Quartiere tranquillo e pieno di ristoranti, bar e qualche piccolo supermercato.
Se torno a Istanbul sicuramente ritorno a Katelya Hotel

Perfect location for a weekend break. Great staff.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Excellent location - quiet street and only a 3 minute walk to the Blue Mosque. Great location to see all the historical sights.

Beautifully presented hotel in a great location - excellent staff.
Pros:

Lovely boutique hotel in the ‘old city’. Only 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus. Excellent clean facilities with a fantastic rooftop terrace. Breakfast was provided with a great choice of hot and cold foods to cater for every taste. Staff were always professional, cheerful and accommodating, particularly Yasin and Yunus. Thoroughly recommend this terrific hotel.

Abbiamo soggiornato a Katelya hotel da 21 al 26 giugno. È un bell’hotel con terrazza panoramica e una bella sala colazione. Il nostro soggiorno è stato impeccabile, molto comodo per la posizione strategica vicino alla Moschea Blu e con uno staff gentile e disponibile! Perfecte ligging! Zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Zeer goede ligging vlak bij de toeristische trekpleisters. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.
