Quinta de Casaldronho Wine Hotel

Beautiful location nice comfortable rooms. Dinner was lovely but portions a little small for my liking. Hotels own wine was lovely.
Breakfast adequate but a bit basic. Very friendly staff

Great views over the Duoro valley. Very narrow access road. Limited choice dinner menu and nowhere else to eat nearby. No balcony in our room but website says all rooms have balcony.

Beautiful property in the beautiful Douro Valley with a nice pool. There is no winery on site, but it is in the middle of beautiful vineyards. You can go down the road to Pinhao or to St. Eufemia Winery for a tour. Breakfast was great and the staff was very accomodating. Great price for a beautiful stay. The property would benefit from some more outdoor leisure areas to sit peacefully and enjoy the view other than the balcony of your room or the pool/deck. Lenore at the desk was very nice and very helpful.

Very nice boutique type place. The people there are really welcoming and warm. The food is 100% homemade and just exquisite.

The hotel was in a remote area but had beautiful views and was worth the effort.
The swimming pool was a welcome addition as it was very hot when we arrived.
The dinner and breakfast were good.
There seemed to be a problem with the doors to the rooms which people kept banging to get them to close. Added to that someone managed to open our door when we were almost asleep and the hotel dog ran into our room. Very disconcerting and not condusive to a good nights sleep.

Very good stay over all, with two litlr problems, very small tv and no real shower

Lovely underrated Quinta. A little out of the way without a car but well worth travelling to. Accommodating and helpful staff make it feel like you are staying with family.

Great stay

Nice and very clean room. Horrible road leading to the hotel not well signalled. Difficult Access should be made clear at booking. Good breakfast average very expensive dinner!

Great accommodation and great food!

The hotel itself was very nice and comfortable. The only minor issue is its location. It is located in the middle of vineyards with stunning views. However, the road to the hotel is very narrow and winding, with only enough space for one car. We had problems on several occasions finding the access road. Once we were familiar with the surroundings it was no problem.
There are also limited dining options nearby (the hotel provides dinner, though, but no lunch) so a car is an absolute necessity.
Still, I would recommend this hotel for the friendly staff, the great wines on offer, and the amazing views.

We recently stayed at Casaldroho Wine Hotel and enjoyed our relaxing stay. While it was colder outside and we couldn't enjoy the terrace or pool, we enjoyed the quiet bar area and the dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Lovely stay.

Good people working such as Henrique , Rita .. really nice and made us as comfortable as possible.
