Very small rooms. Very small toilets. Day reception staff very rude and grumpy has no customer service
Lobby was small, no room service after breakfast, no parking, road in front of hotel was narrow, no AC in corridors, lift and lobby. Lift was small only 02 bags with one person could be accommodated at one time. Was rooms were also small and without ventilation and room AC was fixed at 24 degree Celsius.
Good location, clean nice rooms. Good breakfast and very good value for money.
rooms are fine, if a little small. set over 5 floors with a lift in a very busy commercial fashion district. rooftop seating area with good views. problem comes with the staff. they give incorrect information and are incapable of even booking a taxi
Endroits magnifiques
I went with my mum for 3nights for a short break.
HOTEL:
We were placed on the 5th floor room 502, with a small balcony (which you cant go on) as its too small. There isnt much views as the hotel is based in a side street so onky view you will get is of other buildings.
Room itself was spacious and the beds were comfy. The walls however are thin so if your nieghbour is playing the tv loud then you can hear it unfortunatley.
The bathroom was small however toilet and basin were decent size and also the shower which had a hairdryer.
Note as this is a basic hotel, there is NO IRON BOARD OR IRON available even on request.
The tv was a very tiny small plasma tv with only 1 english channel which didnt bother us as we were out all the time.
BREAKFAST:
We had b&b as I cannot start my day without a good breakfast. Im not a fussy eater so for me breakfast was good.
It included meat susage, eggs, lentil, fried vegetables, assortments of cheeses, brown and white bagutte bread cut up into slices, there was also tomatoes and cucumbers and yoghurt and fried pastry with cheese inside. I tried everything throught my stay and it was always hot and tastey. There was also cerial, selection of olives, and sweet spreads. I didnt really try much of that as i was full from the hot food.
Drinks: they had coffe machine which i had and loved and tea that you could help yourself to and add milk and sugar. They also had juice machine but i never tried this.
LOCATION:
its excellent. Very close to everything.
Tip is instead of gettin the metro get the underground if you want to get to taksim, it will get you there within 5minutes instead of 20!
Its also only 3stops to blue mosque and only another few stops there after to the ferry port, spice bazar, grand bazar etc.
Also dont forget to get the istanbul travel card which you can use on all modes of transport. You only need 1 and you can use it for upto 5 people i think or 6? You basically just top it up as you go and costs only 6tl for the inital card and then i just toped it up for 20tl for me and my mum daily which lasted us all day including the ferry.
There is also lots of places to eat just outside the hotel, so even if you dont get b&b you can go out and eat as the shops open from morning prayer which is around 6am.
Overall was a good hotel and an excellent base to get around with a decent brwakfast.
There is no water boiler so that we can drink morning coffee. Breakfast is the exact same everday. REQUIRES A LOT OF ADDITIONAL FACILITIES.
