The resort is old, rooms need an update, shower was horrible, breakfast was cheaply made (powdered eggs, frozen French toast sticks). Honestly, it was a way over priced room.

Perfect location, perfect view.
Pros:

Great location. We had a “ocean view” higher level room - it was awesome waking up to the view of the water and the Bar Island Trail. We even saw some deer from our room in the woods behind the hotel.

Cons:

The bathroom could be improved, the towel rack was broken, and the soap pumps were difficult to use.

It was okay for the proximity to town, good complementary breakfast.
Pros:

Location is great, close to town and everything is within walking distance. There is also plenty of free parking onsite.
Rooms we quiet, and the view even from the second floor where we stayed was phenomenal.

Cons:

The rooms are not very clean, the air conditioner vents were dusty, the toilet was dirty and I had to ask twice to have it cleaned. The tub was clogged but they fixed it once I asked. The beds are uncomfortable and the sheets are not cotton.
They do not provide housekeeping services during your stay, if you need anything you need to ask the front desk. This place is more a motel than a “lodge” as they advertise it. Completely over priced.

Good place to stay in Bar Harbor, I would stay there again.
Pros:

It isn't plush but it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was much better than any of the national chains. The views from our room were beautiful. The bus transportation into Bar Harbor center was a great bonus.

Great value for Bar Harbor
Pros:

Nice views and great location. Shuttle comes right to the door and takes you into Bar Harbor. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Cons:

While there was a complete breakfast, hot and cold foods, it wasn’t the best tasting. I was disappointed in the offerings.

Good food. Everything else disappointing.
Pros:

The breakfast were very good.

Cons:

There was no cleaning crew. We had to ask for additional towels. We had no new bed bed sheets provided, and no room cleaning including bathroom or trash.

Our first time to Bar Harbor. The accomodations were excellent and the trolley a perk to get to town
Pros:

We always love when we can have a breakfast in the morning before heading out for a day's adventures.
We enjoyed the sausages, french toast sticks, hash brown sticks, pistachio muffins, juice and coffee, yogurt and fruit.
