We had thought we could eat within the hotel but there were plenty of restaurants nearby.

Overalll a pleasant stay. Thank you!
Pros:

The hotel has character and is a local landmark. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fine. Cleanliness was excellent

Cons:

The bed was very narrow for two. I would have liked a hand shower - I don’t like baths, nor overhead showers. To save water a better shower would be best. The room was a bit cold at first but the staff found an extra radiator.
More fruit for breakfast would have been nice. Also a lift but the staff were very helpful carrying suitcases upstairs.

Pros:

Lovely big rooms, comfortable beds and nice size bathroom. Shops all local. Free parking onside.

Cons:

Stairs to the rooms were hard fir me personally but there were no ground rooms available
