We traveled all around thailand and this place was the least friendliest. Room was spacious and clean. Easy walk to the river ferry system and plenty of food options
It was good
The price was great and the room served it's purpose- clean and efficient. People in other reviews complained the area was not fun- but it had some of the best and most authentic Thai food in Bangkok! Loved the area much.
This hotel was lovely and clean and calm, a very quiet hotel so perfect for relaxing, the rooms were very modern and the pool was a great addition as it gets very humid in Bangkok, I would definitely recommend
Walk outside to the main road and there you have so many street vendors
We tried sooo many different Thai food that they don’t sell at the restaurant!
The WiFi is very weak!
Feels like home
Did not like the area, there is too far from the city center, limited public transportation, and nothing to do in the neighborhood.
Also staff were not very helpful, i asked four a couple of things from them, and they were very strict.
The bed was very nice and comfortable.
Feels like home. We stayed a month so magic.
Great value! I’ve stayed here numerous times when I’m in Bangkok. Staff is friendly and helpful. Basic rooms but there’s an incredibly beautiful courtyard with a very nice pool and relaxation / socialization area. In addition to the pool, the courtyard has tall trees that provide shade. This is a hidden gem of a hotel that’s within walking distance to a pier where I catch the Chao Phraya Express Boat to all the major tourist attractions down river. Short taxi ride to a MRT station. I’ve learned how to use the mass transit train system so I can get to anywhere around Bangkok and the airport train. Lots of street food as well as restaurants serving decent Thai food. Breakfast buffet is ok nothing fancy. Again, rooms are basic, but I don’t expect a 5 star hotel for such a low price. It’s a budget hotel with a quiet beautiful atmosphere.
GREAT STAY! Literal oasis! Super clean and wonderful!
This is the third time I’ve stayed at UMA. My favorite thing about UMA is the friendly staff!
The second best thing is the beautiful courtyard.
There’s a beautiful pool with comfortable lounge chairs. The breakfast options are yummy. UMA is close to the Express Boat Ferry pier too.
Comfortable. Great breakfast.
My experience at UMA Residence was not the best.
I booked a room on the strength of the photos, which were of a beautiful hotel, but the reality was completely different.
The entrance to UMA was hidden along a narrow dirty alleyway.
The reception was unwelcoming.
The pool area was dark & full of mosquitoes.
The room was small and un-maintained & featured several broken fittings, including the AC.
Breakfast was paltry and resembled a prison canteen.
Outside of the Hotel in the surrounding area was bleak! No bars or restaurants, just street vendors lit by dim 12 volt lamps.
After one night of our planned ten was enough & we checked out.
Neither Hotels. com nor UMA will refund our money.
The staff are all lovely. The hotel looks beautiful. But there were a lot of mosquitoes.by the chance I will come back thank you 🙏🇹🇭
Hotel was fine in a local neighborhood away from the usual touristy places. Hotel is clean and basic, nothing to really complain about but nothing stands out about it either.
Breakfast is too basic and could be improved. There is a bar on site but it is no longer utilized, which is too bad. Pool is small but nice.
A very nice small hotel with a relaxed peacful Thai style atmosphere, well finnished comfortable rooms. All in all a happy and pleasant place to stay. And good value for money. Dusit is a nice area. Good street food, close to the river.
Hotel was clean. Would be good if staff knew more about options in the area e.g. massage
I liked the cleanliness, and pool area. I did not feel very welcome. The three young people at reception were friendly. The manager does not greet one. As I was the only foreigner at breakfast I felt very unwelcome. Its a residence with mostly Thai people. They are either shy or do not like foreigners in their space. If you are single perhaps give this one a miss.
