Danke für die Zeit im Butlers Hotel.
Pros:

Das personal ist nett. Wir hatten einen Wasserkocher und Kaffee und Tee auf dem Zimmer.

Cons:

Niemand macht das Zimmer sauber. Man ist eigentlich auf sich gestellt.

The bed was very comfortable.

Cons:

Cobwebs everywhere shower unit was old and mould on it. bath panel rotten no tv remote floor creaked no cold water from sink tap bathroom was very old.

Pros:

There was an issue with one of the beds but this was delt with promptly.

Cons:

Only stayed one night so nothing to dislike. The bar was closed when we arrived back, but that was probably a good thing.

Convenient location and outstanding service in Headingley
Pros:

An excellent location. Literally around the corner from Headingley cricket ground. Great for getting public transport around Leeds. And the staff were really friendly and so helpful. Really outstanding. I can't praise them enough.

Cons:

The room was small. That in itself is not a problem. But it needed a really good clean. The carpet was grotty and I don't think it had been cleaned under the bed or the desk, in a very long time. The building, being an old terrace, is a bit run down. Work is being done to it and I can appreciate how difficult the upkeep must be. But I think the positives outweigh the cons, on the whole.

It was ok for what we needed it for. The bed was comfy and clean and the staff were friendly.
Pros:

It was close to where we needed to be in Headingley, the staff member was lovely and happy to help with anything.

Cons:

Very outdated, lots of things need repairing, redecorating and cleaning.

Convenient and good price, however very dated and not the best facilities.
Pros:

Location was ideal for me for work but at the same time it wasn't far from city centre which was great. Bus route also stops nearby and takes you straight to station. I asked for full english breakfast and got it freshly made!

Cons:

The room was very dated and not the cleanest. I have dust allergies so it was little bit more uncomfortable for me. Water pressure in bathroom was passable.

A budget hotel which is in urgent need or refurbishment.
Pros:

The bed linen, towels and toiletries were good. The cooked breakfast was okay and good value for money. Location was great for Headingley for the cricket. Staff were friendly with a good welcome on arrival. There is a small free car park at the back of the hotel.

Cons:

It is a late Victorian property which has seen better days. It is in urgent need of refurbishment with rooms and common areas well worn. Our room had a sweet sickly smell, which explained why the bedroom window was wide open when we arrived. The furniture is old brown furniture, a hard mattress, and old carpets with ground in dirt. The ensuite bathroom was fully tiled with broken and loose floor tiles and with a shower curtain in poor condition. We were on the second floor and the stairs to the second floor are steep.
We were there for only one night, so bearable. At this price point we knew it was not going to be great, but it was not as good as we had thought it was going to be.
