Location
No shower door
Location only
Our room was dusty and dirty and management wanted to charge us for additional bath towels when we stayed there for 3 nights
Location 10 out of 10
Dirty bedding, mattress protection was stained as were the pillows. Not what you expect from a boutique resort.
Very clean n tidy - a little out from city of Cessnock. Nice surrounding.
Microwave too low for a 6 footer but survived.
Quiet and peaceful
Nothing
Great location, prices are reasonable
Room was made up but not clean. Stains on armchair and bedding (see photo), and significant mould on carpet around fridge. Mould in bathroom on ceiling
It was central to most things we had planned to do.
N/A
The room was hard to access from the street as it had no proper walkway to the room and had to walk on the muddy grass carrying the suitcases.
The complete complex had a blackout for about one hour which everyone was sitting in complete darkness.
When calling the designated phone number which was provided to us to contact the property, we were connected to the offshore call centre.
The call centre themselves had difficulty to reach the property manager as well.
The sign at the entry to the property said that it is a New Of Modern Accommodation which is misleading. The room had no windows at all, which prevented us from having fresh air and was very stuffy in the room.
Large bed and location
Room was tiny and not very clean
The bed was very comfortable
The layout of the unit was odd with a 2 seater lounge in a small narrow hallway to the bathroom. The bathroom tiles were slippery when wet. The fridge was leaking, the reception area wasn’t manned you had to call an off shore contact number
Unmonitored entry to room (exterior sliding door) by keypad was simple. The bed and sheets were good quality. The general location in the rural wine district is indeed nice and its cheap for this locale (though not good value ultimately). Seems to be managed well.
When booking a Standard King Room, do not believe the photos that look so bright and beautiful. This is not the real experience you will have ahead of you. The room was actually dark, even with the sliding door drapes (not as nice) open, but if you do leave open you have zero privacy because for these rooms facing the rear anyone getting to their own room will need to walk by and will see into the entirety of your space other than into the little bathroom. Also, the mini fridge actually stands in front of half the sliding door, and the curtains cram behind it. If you have heavy suitcases/rollers forget it, for there is no flat sidewalk to use to get to these rooms, rather there is a series of garden tiles with constant wide gaps. From the construction, these single rooms look like have been carved out of what were formerly larger multi-room suites. This could be why the only door or window is the sliding door entry (which again is really like coming into the back). No respectable architect would have designed such a thing as this. There is no desk, and no shelves or drawers to unpack anything. Okay, for the AUD$145 price in the heart of this chic area one should not expect something elegant, but just know that it does not actually look and feel as bright and beautiful as the photos, not close. I could only recommend this if you want something ten minutes closer to the wineries than motels in the towns (the room has a motel feeling anyway), has a rural surrounding, and if you really are going to be out all day anyway and just need a bed for the night and don't mind feeling like you are in a cave.
Close to where I had to go.
I booked 2 room's 1 room was for my daughter and the electrical door system stuffed up and wouldn't lock so they gave us a key and said they would fix it while we were away so we went to our wedding came back that night door not fixed still unlocked and wouldn't even lock with her inside that room at night so I didn't sleep making sure she was ok.
NOT OK IN MY BOOKS TO NOT FEEL SAFE.
Great location with open views. Good sized rooms with kitchen and lounge area.
Very difficult to navigate to the room at night- no lighting on the pathway or front entry. Only 1 coat hanger! Had no ability to hang any clothes. Missing some kitchen utensils.
