Noisy & Smoke Filled
Pros:

Location wise, Jerai Hotel is quite strategic. City Plaza is 5 mins walk away from the hotel, while the Alor Setar KTM station is just 15-20mins away. You could easily reach a lot of shops that surround the hotel within a 5-15mins walk. To top it off, the staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The room door has about gap below, which makes it not exactly soundproof. You could hear people talking along the hallway, opening and closing their doors.

To make matters worse, despite being on a non-smoking floor, and thanks to the gap under your door, you could smell all the secondhand cigarette smoke from the guests smoking in the hallway. This happened in the evening and also a few times in middle of the night. Again, this is a non-smoking floor I was in and yet, this happened.

If you wanted a peaceful night's sleep and a really smoke-free room on an actual non-smoking floor, this is the hotel to avoid.
