Pros:

It is in the center on the town.

The aircond is not working very well.
They should regularly check the batteries of all the remote controls in the room.

The strategic location for tourists to explore Alor Setar and able to reach by foot.
Even behind the hotel, there is Medan Selera Bandaraya (Food Court) for travelers to have varieties of breakfast beside the hotel buffet.
Pekan Rabu,Royal Museum, Masjid Zahir, balai seni even a very nice walkway along the river are around the corner.

Definitely Coming Back!

I travelled to Alor Setar on a personal errand with an associate and booked two rooms at The Jerai Hotel, and from the moment we arrived in the wee hours of the morning, the staff impressed us by graciously holding our rooms without any hassle. Its location along a major downtown thoroughfare is wonderfully convenient — just an easy 11 minute walk to the Alor Setar railway station and about the same distance to landmarks like Zahir Mosque and the Alor Setar Tower’s observation deck. The rooms were warm and inviting, with wood floors, cushioned headboards, flat screen TVs, minibars, and tea and coffee facilities, while studios and suites offered even more space with sofas and separate living or dining areas. We enjoyed the reliable Wi Fi, 24 hour room service, and a simple yet satisfying breakfast spread at the coffee house. With a stylish lobby lounge, a modern restaurant featuring an open kitchen, plus a business center, meeting rooms, and free parking, The Jerai Hotel delivered comfort, convenience, and genuinely thoughtful hospitality — and we would definitely come again.
