New, clean, comfortable hotel in a great location
Pros:

Great location, great atmosphere on the cute street in front of the hotel and still super close to the city center and dining.
We also love the pool and gym.
Lobby also very pleasant and clean.

Hampton Inn Portsmouth
Pros:

The hotel is in a great location to walk to everything in Portsmouth. It is updated and very clean. Prices were reasonable for peak summer. The pool area was well maintained and clean. We appreciated being able to street park rather than use the valet.

Convenient stop on the way to Maine
Pros:

We were passing through on our way to Maine. The hotel is close to a terrific oyster bar - that's why we stayed there. It was convenient and comfortable.
