A perfect hotel in Santo Domingo
Pros:

This time, I just spent one night in the hotel, which was almost perfect for me.

Cons:

There is no lift, so you have to go up and down a staircase with dark steps; a clear band on the border of the steps would improve safety.

An excellent choice if in Santo Domingo
Pros:

The location is excellent, just in front of the cathedral. Both the common areas and the room were clean. The room has comfortable furniture and the bathroom is well designed; both are well lit. There is a restaurant under the hotel with excellent food for any meal. The hotel staff are outstanding, especially the gentelman who works at the reception in the morning.

Cons:

The hotel has no lift, so it is necessary to go up and down by means of dark paved stairs, which may be dangerous - in my opinion, a light band on the border of each step would improve this issue. The safe in the room is very hard to open, a safe working with secret numbers would be more friendly for guests.

Great location if you want to be in the center of the park night life.
Pros:

The location is great with respect to being at the center of the Colonial Zone. There is a restaurant just downstairs for breakfast and late evening snack options.

Cons:

Being at the center of everything also means if your room is facing the park, you will hear music and street performers until the wee hours of the morning. The hotel walls are well insulated from most of the music in the park, but there are two street performers “buskers” who vocalize opera style on the opposite street corner that was hard to overcome. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room not facing the park or bring wax ear plugs.

The balcony rooms also sit directly over a stop sign. The locals like you to hear their exhaust popping when they take off.

If you sleep heavy, this location is great!!

Pros:

Es un hotel que me había alojado en anteriores viajes a Santo Domingo. Me gusta, por eso repetí en esta ocasión. Tiene una buena ubicación y unas buenas instalaciones.

Cons:

Lo puntuó tan mal en este viaje porque el hotel había tenido filtraciones de agua y se olía bastante a humedad. Pedí un cambio de habitación por este motivo y me hicieron pagar un suplemento algo que veo totalmente injusto. Han perdido una clienta. Y mi familia y yo solíamos viajar y hacer escala siempre en este hotel.
