Great location, new hotel.
Pros:

This hotel is centrally located to pretty much every attraction in Dublin. I was easily able to walk anywhere I wanted to go. The rooms are new and nicely decorated. The hotel staff was generally helpful. The breakfast and bar were very overpriced for what you get. The location really cannot be beat. I was in a smaller room but it had everything I needed.

Brilliant Staff
Pros:

Super friendly and courteous staff, from reception, bar, and especially Maria at breakfast who reminded me what Dublin hospitality used to be like . It seems there is a conscious effort from the top down to ensuring one’s stay is memorable and that all who choose to stay here will definitely be back again. I know I will. Top class, well done everyone

Beautiful hotel, amazing food
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, with lots of character.
Staff were on hand to check in, they were welcoming and it was a quick check in time. Hotel is within walking distance to high tourist locations such as the castle shops and many bars, however the room is very quiet and noise from outside was not any problem, by night the street was pretty calm and quiet.
We had a deluxe double room. Good size room with plenty of storage and space to sit. Bed was very comfortable with 2 good sized pillows each. Plug sockets on both sides of the bed and at the desk area.
Bathroom was big with a lovely large shower and rainfall shower head. Housekeeping topped up towels and tea and coffee supplies each day.
We had dinner once which was superb, service was fast but your not rushed at all. The meals were beautiful and plentiful.
Breakfast we had to have every day as this was also incredibly good. A full range of breakfast items, pastries fruit cereal, small jars of yogurt granola and fruit, fruit bowls and of course the cooked breakfast. You could eat like a king!
Enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone. Hope to return again soon.

Rude staff
Pros:

Went today, the bar was absolutely empty and the café, i’m appalled how shocking and real a member of staff was he was wearing a suit he was walking in the bar me and my and my baby went in looking for food and it was so rude we had to leave. We didn’t say a word I did do anything but I’m shocked-and appalled how people can treat people like this in this day age. Would never recommend this place. It’s terrible absolutely shock.

Amazing hotel , good vibes and great location
Pros:

We had an amazing stay at The Mercantile. Super friendly and helpful staff.

The bar has a really good vibe, we met our friends at the hotel and ended staying for drinks all afternoon. The cocktails were amazing.

We loved the decor of the hotel and the location was perfect for us.

We had breakfast at the hotel and my husband said the eggs Florentine were the best he’s ever had!

We’ve booked to come back again in April and we can’t wait!

A unique stay in the heart of Dublin
Pros:

The hotel has an absolutely central location, perfect for exploring Dublin on foot. The interiors are stunning and truly unique — it felt like staying inside an old ship, with beautiful details and a very atmospheric design. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms were a bit on the small side, but they were very well designed and charming, so it didn’t take away from the overall experience. A great choice for anyone looking for something special in the heart of the city.

Amazing! Book me back in!
Pros:

I cannot rate this hotel enough, it is beautiful through and through. The staff are humours and engaging. Their memory! Maria and her boys at breakfast ‘decaff Americano with oat milk’, John with his hat, making sure our travels in Dublin were effortless, and the young lad at the bar pouring countless Baileys for us! The food was sublime, the rooms lovely and the shower amazing. We will be back. Thank you

Beautiful breakfast orchestrated by Maria 🎼
Pros:

Beautiful breakfast orchestrated by Maria! Despite the absolute scores of people, Maria conducted a symphony of dishes and staff with poise and precision. Truly the most delicious morning meal I have ever had a hotel. Music to my mouth!

Great location
Pros:

The Mercantile hotel was in a great location, with beautiful colors and vibes, and the free water was awesome. We had been married in Northern Ireland as part of our trip so they very kindly left us a card! The man at the front in the overcoat and bowler hat was so friendly and helpful when we were trying to find somewhere to get postage and send our postcards. We had the king room and were glad we did because anything smaller would’ve been too small with the amount of luggage we had. I also wish there had been a blow dryer in the room because mine did not survive the converter plug from the US. They were having issues with the elevators when we were there but thankfully only one had been broken at a time and they were fixed quickly. To us, the beds were extremely firm and the pillows very large, so personally I could not sleep well while we were there. Also, you couldn’t tell it from the pictures, but the windows in the room open to the inside of the hotel, so you couldn’t leave your curtains open if you wanted any sort of privacy.

Amazing Hotel
Pros:

Amazing hotel, one of the best I have stayed in. From the moment I checked in the service from all the staff was great. The rooms were spotless and the facilities fantastic. The bed was comfy, the shower was brilliant and the decor just made it. Breakfast had plenty of hot & cold choices. Honestly best hotel in Dublin and the location is only a few minutes walk from Temple Bar.
