Decent value for money room for central Manhattan
Pros:

Pleasant room with good facilities. Staff were helpful. The HighLine is a couple of blocks away. Airport access good as close to Penn Station.

Cons:

Lack of elevatiir could be a problem for some. Evidently shared bathroom and toilet creates issues if other people leave them in an unsanitary state.

Na jednu noc naprosto super
Pros:

Ubytování je ve skvělé lokalitě, ať už chcete mít blízko Penn Station nebo Madison Square. Je to ideální na jednu noc, pokud například cestujete den po příletu do další destinace. Pokoje čisté, ale opravdu maličké. Sprcha i záchod jsou v pořádku, čisté, ale nejsou součástí pokoje.

Die zentrale Lage und die netten Mitarbeiter

Cons:

Es gibt keinen Lift. Sehr enge Zimmer. Der Preis wahr ziemlich hoch, aber das war wohl dem Zeitpunkt unserer Reise geschuldet. In NY waren die Fashion Week, die US Open und die Feierlichkeiten zu 9/11.

Ein toller, ereignisreicher Aufenthalt in einer angenehmen, einfachen und sauberen Unterkunft
Pros:

Die Lage ist sehr zentral in Manhattan und viele Attraktivitäten sind fußläufig erreichbar. Die Unterkunft ist sehr einfach in einem schmalen, nach oben gebauten Haus, mit je 2 Duschen und 2 Toiletten auf jedem der 3 Stockwerke und cosy gehalten. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und für jedes Anliegen offen. Der Servicegedanke wird hier sehr groß geschrieben. Das Haus und die Sanitäreinrichtungen werden täglich gereinigt, die Zimmer spätestens nach 3 Tagen auf Anfrage. In jedem Zimmer befindet sich, soweit wir das einsehen konnten, ein Waschbecken und Ablagemöglichkeiten.

Cons:

Die Umgebung ist recht gewöhnungsbedürftig. Leider sind viele Obdachlose im unmittelbaren Umfeld zu finden. Die Unterkunft hat leider keinen Fahrstuhl und die Stockwerke sind - teils mühsam - nur fußläufig zu erreichen, was teilweise nicht so einfach für sperriges und schweres Gepäck ist.

Not great area and roaches, nice staff though
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Free breakfast and rooms were relatively clean. Also, lovely dog.

Cons:

Roaches in the bathroom when I went to take a shower. Bathrooms were small and didn't have a towel to dry your hands. It's not a safe area. There are lots of homeless people outside the location. Wasn't super clear from the listing at first that the bathroom was shared with other guests.

Pros:

Good cost-benefit in NYC. Having stayed here a couple times, it is always our go-to when we are looking for a cheaper stay for only one or two nights, especially when there are major events in the city and prices are through the roof. AC works well, room is small but clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Not a complaint, but worth noting that bathrooms are shared, but from our experience, no issues with that as they are separate rooms with privacy, spacious, and always kept very clean. Hotel is small enough that your room door is super close to a restroom or shower room.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt und können die Unterkunft empfehlen :)
Pros:

- Liebevoll eingerichtet, genügend Platz, ruhige Gegend, freundlicher Host, kleine Mini Terrasse, Bushaltestelle ist nicht weit weg und Bus fährt direkt zum Stadtzentrum

Cons:

- Die Tür (eine Balkontür) lässt sich echt schwer öffnen und klemmt, das war eigentlich der größte Nachteil
- man hört, wenn in der Etage darüber im Haus gesaugt wird
- kein richtiger großer Supermarkt fußläufig in der Nähe
- es gibt keine zwei Decken, also wenn man als Freunde und nicht als Paar verreist ist das unpraktisch. Uns wurde zwar noch eine Fliesdecke gebracht, aber das ist nicht das Gleiche wie eine richtige Bettdecke und nachts war es dadurch für mich sehr kalt

- es liegt etwas außerhalb, man läuft ca 10 Min zur Bushaltestelle, der Bus braucht dann etwas bis in die Innenstadt aber es ist machbar (das ist kein negativer Aspekt, dafür zahlt man weniger.. man sollte es nur beachten gerade wenn man abends noch zurück will aus New York und ein Taxi zb vom Hafen zur Unterkunft kostet fast 100€)

All bathrooms and showers are shared on a seedy block of 8th Avenue, but one sleeps well here
Pros:

We did sleep well here. The beds and bedding were comfortable. It was quiet, A/C decent, the shared baths and showers were kept clean. Penn station is only 5 minutes away, as are better neighborhoods of Chelsea.

Cons:

Alas, this is a seedy block of 8th avenue, with homeless people in front of the entrance all the time. This is only a place to crash, there is no space here to do anything but sleep. The breakfast is just coffee, O/J, and toast. You feel like a poor person staying here.
