I believe this hotel is severely under rated. It is such a beautiful hidden gem. As the name of the place is The Grove Suites, you know that every single room boasts the concepts of suites- meaning large living spaces and not just a simple room. that is my favourite part of the place. my suite was spacious and the interior design was very appealing. the suite comes complete with a living and kitchen area making also very suitable for long stays. My friend who joined me for meals also agrees that the food is really delicious and they have many choices for breakfast. would personally recommend this hotel to friends and family members, as it truly is affordable luxury!

Arrived at exact checking time, but had to wait short while until quality control of room was done. That is ok. Yet the bathroom sink top was not clean

One might ask: why is this not a one-star review if you were so disappointed with your stay?
Well, let me explain (the pictures speak for themselves).
TLDR: Dirty rooms with leftover food and bugs, but there are good people at this hotel.
I stayed two nights at The Grove Suites as this hotel was conveniently located to plans that I had involved with a wedding. I was recommended this hotel by my girlfriend’s family and opted for this in my first night.
The vibes of this hotel and rooms in my opinion are a bit dated. Nothing inherently wrong with this, and I think price-wise the value of the rooms reflects this accurately.
After checking in and going into my first room, I noticed roaches in my bathroom. I notified the front desk and I was promptly moved to a different room. I am glad that most of my things were left at my girlfriend’s apartment, and I was only at this hotel to stay the night, or else I would have serious issues worrying with potential infestation with my luggage.
My second room was at 1501. Upon going into the room, it was the same style as my first room (one bedroom suite with a pool view), and the hotel provided refreshments as a an apology for the first room. However, because I was already on edge about the uncleanliness of the first room, I decided to throughly check the room. Upon noticing this room, it was clear that this room had leaky ceilings and roof issues, which damaged the wallpaper and ceiling, which I account as a big misstep in the comfortability of the room. I personally don’t like to be nitpicky like this, but it is important that quality control needs to be kept as this is a very low bar to meet. When inspecting the kitchen, I found food that was left in the cabinets by a previous guest.
This disappointed me greatly, as cleanliness for a hotel is the standard that all should be kept no matter what price point or 5 star amenities may be offered.
Speaking with the duty manager Deni at the time, unfortunately the hotel was sold out, and the room I had left was the last room. And because I booked with a travel agent, they were unable to refund me for my rooms. I was only offered late checkout, but I found that this was very poor compensation for what I experienced with moving two rooms. Because I was very tired for the night as it was very late, I begrudgingly stayed the nights that I needed to do. At the end of the day, no matter what amenities are offered, all I value is a clean room and this hotel did not deliver on this for my stay.
Rooms were a huge setback - how about the breakfast?
I decided to get the morning breakfast with my girlfriend. After being seated, I went to the breakfast buffet to get my food. However, after getting my food and going back to my seat, I found that my table that I was given was then seated to other guests. This was basically strike 3.
At this point, from the service to the dirty rooms, I was pretty done with this entire hotel, and the breakfast service was the cherry on top. Holding all my food, I went to the waiters to explain to them that I don’t have a table. It was during this time when the Front Office Manager, Ridwan, came to address to me directly, aware of the room situations I had the night prior. He apologized for all the missteps, to which I explained to him that before speaking, I want to have a table so I can have breakfast with my girlfriend since it was given to someone else.
Ridwan personally attended to me, and he was very sincere and apologetic for all the missteps, from the uncleanliness of the rooms to the poor breakfast service. (Breakfast was average, nothing to hawk on but nothing to complain).
As the hotel was unwilling to provide a refund for me, he offered a complimentary car service to the airport at the end of my stay, and offered other amenities with the hotel.
For the rest of my stay, Ridwan personally attended to care for the duration of my stay, from the breakfasts to transportation. I will applaud Ridwan and the rest of the staff for attempting to remedy the situation, although I think not meeting the standard of cleanliness is unacceptable for anyone. If it wasn’t for Ridwan, I think this review would not end the way it is and this would truly be a one-star review.
Because of the service and the people, I’ll give the hotel two stars since it is clear the front office staff wants to help their guests. It is very unfortunate because I will be coming to Jakarta (particularly in the Kuningan area) more often in the future, and would like to have a quality hotel that I can reliably come to every time I visit.
However, should I stay here again, I would like progress in terms of the processes and steps to maintain a cleanliness across the hotel, as I believe this is the bare standard all hotels should maintain. Considering we’re starting from the bottom, I’ll be looking forward to see how this hotel progresses and the investments made to holding a high standard that a 5-star hotel should be. And if I build the courage to stay here again for my next visit in Jakarta, maybe I’ll be writing a different review

Exceptional five-star hotel with elegant rooms, outstanding service, luxurious amenities, and a truly memorable stay.
This is my second time staying at The Grove Suites by Grand Aston, and honestly, without any exaggeration, it's one of the most beautiful and best hotels in Jakarta. Everything about it is wonderful, and the staff are very friendly, especially Mr. Boris, who was very helpful and always tried to do his best to satisfy the customer.

so happy stay in this hotel due to room was bery huge. i am a traveler and find this hotel. first impression was very good. the hotel lobby was huge and the staff was very welcome. the hotel jear by epicentrum mall and XXI movie. i meet Some staff was very nice and humble. i will stay again for sure
All the service was good, the staff were friendly, the food was tasty (8/10), everything tasted good, and the food explanation was also clear. Overall, a good place for breakfast.

Its memoriable stay in the grove suites hotel. The room was huge and pool view was nice. Mr. Boris was handle me Upin check in. He is so friendly and warm. When get breakfast also all staff was friendly. I met Ms. Tutik was helful
