Pirate Cove

Nice staff. We ate in the restaurant twice for dinner, and it was good. They accommodated our dietary needs with no confusion or issues.

Lovely spot, right on the beach. Nice little pool area above the beach. Room was very comfortable and had everything you need.

Really nice property and location overlooking Drake bay. The freshly prepared food was great and all the staff were helpful, friendly and professional. The kitchen graciously adapted our dinners to incorporate our food requests.
We only stayed the weekend but enjoyed the amenities and walking down to the beach and river. You can observe quite a few animals while just lounging by the pool.
We took a tour to Corcovado one day and the hotel manager walked us down to the beach where the boats picked up and ensured everyone got on the correct boat which was very helpful.

Prachtige locatie aan zee. Helaas wel wat verder uit het centrum, een flinke wandeling (zeker in het donker).

Ausflüge lassen sich unkompliziert & schnell über das Hotel organisiert. Sei es zum Schnorcheln, Whale Watching oder in den Corcovado-Nationalpark – alles reibungslos und persönlich abgestimmt. 🐋🌿

Das Personal ist in allen Belangen unglaublich freundlich, herzlich & hilfsbereit. Wir fühlten uns rundum willkommen & bestens betreut.

Ein Ort, an dem man die Seele baumeln lassen kann. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Overall nice property and staff with a very convenient location. I felt like it was priced very high for conditions and that’s the only reason I dropped stars. I would have moved hotels but was too tired to deal with checking out and moving properties but was really disappointed that the extra night was the same rate I had paid on Expedia . Only other complaint is this was the only hotel on our whole trip that somehow didn’t charge me directly through Expedia and took my credit card info again at the front desk which made me feel uneasy. Nothing bad has happened with my cc info though, but I’m not accustomed to this practice and it made me uneasy.

Staff was great, lunch was delicious by the pool.

We received a lovely welcome when we arrived. Our room was beautiful and had a fabulous view. Everything was immaculately clean and tidy. The location was perfect for us.
As it is a little bit out from the town we had our dinners here. The food was lovely and great value. We also found that having a set menu worked really well for us and the staff were more than happy to cater for special dietary needs. All in all a perfect stay! Highly recommended!

My sister and I loved our stay at this hotel! It’s just outside of town, has a pool overlooking the ocean, and AC in the rooms. The staff is amazing and very attentive! The bartender, Francisco, always made sure we had everything we needed and constantly tidied up around the pool. You have the option to pay additional to eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. We chose to walk into town. They can also help you to call a taxi, but sometimes they aren’t available. We did a scuba diving tour through the hotel and it was very easy to walk down to the beach to get on the boat. This was the best diving I’ve ever done - seeing turtles, reef sharks, stingrays and beautiful fish! We also saw lots of wildlife right from our balcony.

Great Hotel 5 min by car or 10 min walking outside of Drake bay. Excellent staff. We had a great experience, highly recommend their snorkelling your. They leave before everyone else so you are first to the hotspots before all the big guiding boats come.
I would also suggest calling the hotel and having them set up your transport and all the activities you would like to do as it doesn't cost more and they know all the insured and well run operations in town. If we had done that it would have made things much easier for us. They also have full board or pay as you go for lunch and dinner. Meals were very good.
