Breakfast was great and the location is great.
The spa facilities are completely not sufficient. Massages are not good enough. The rooms are comfortable but also not justifying that price. Restaurants are closed most of the week. It’s a nice boutique hotel but far too expensive…
Everything. It’s our third time :)
Kids in the pool making a lot of noise and running around.
The staff did everything they can to make sure our stay was amazing, handling balloon for the birthday
We had aircondition issue in our room which took a while to fix, that was very unpleasent
The breakfirst resturant is too small, we couldn't eat in the main area only on a different area, eventually we ate at the bar
Everything – staff, location, food, room - very good
The fitness centre needs to be enlarged
Usually I like the place. This time it’s seems the place don’t worth it anymore.
The stuff is really slow, the room wasn’t worth the price.
Charming
Authentic
Fitness very small
The responsiveness and empathy of staff
The first room allocated with me was musty
I rarely write reviews, but I’m compelled to share our thoughts on the Norman with potential guests debating a stay. The unequivocal answer is YES.
I’ll begin by saying that we’ve stayed at the Kempinski on our last few trips (and even for a few nights on this trip). The Kempinski is nice and new— and on the beach— which has always been important to us. However, after staying at the Norman in a Loft room this past week, it’s undoubtedly our new go to. The beach isn’t so far after all, and we didn’t want to eat the food in the Kempinski’s Horizon lounge anyway!
The vibe, service, food, location and rooftop pool at the Norman especially stood out for us. This isn’t a large, convention hotel catering to the masses. The Norman is a wonderful boutique with personalized service, intentional follow-up and delicious food (both Alena and Dinings). It felt like our own oasis in the middle of a local Tel Aviv neighborhood— with the meals we’d search for even if we weren’t hotel guests.
We loved the small balcony off our room to sip wine or coffee and watch the city moving. From before we arrived until we departed, we were also impressed with the Norman’s digital communication space (I would say messages were monitored in close to real time).
In full transparency there were two minor things we mentioned to the front desk on departure- 1) the room was extremely dark, even with the dimmer on full power, 2) room felt humid and had a faint mildew odor despite the dry climate.
Thank you again for a terrific stay. We can’t wait to return to Tel Aviv just to stay at the Norman!!
