The hotel itself is average for the price — no breakfast, overheated rooms where you need to run noisy AC on top of the heat, and nothing special for $250+ a night beyond the location.
What truly ruined our stay was the check-in. I’ve never experienced anything this unprofessional and xenophobic after years in the U.S., and it overshadowed everything else.
The receptionist, Erman, was shockingly rude — someone who simply should not be working in hospitality. When my wife explained we had two bookings, he repeatedly asked if she was “okay” in a sarcastic, mocking tone, for no clear reason. After seeing our ID, he said, “Oh, now I understand,” referring to our nationality — which felt xenophobic. When we told him this made us uncomfortable, he doubled down with sarcasm instead of apologizing or stopping, and later even made other inappropriate remarks implying things about guests’ origins. Absolutely shocking. We forced ourselves to remain calm and courteous despite the situation.
My wife and I left the desk feeling awful — and that feeling lasted for hours. We were paying guests expecting to be welcomed, not belittled. The next day, when I raised the issue with another staff member, her only response was, “Do whatever you have to do to feel better, sweetie.” That dismissiveness says it all. Thankfully, the third receptionist we spoke to was professional, polite, and actually made us feel treated like guests.
We had a first floor room. A lot of noise from second floor traffic.
Staff was helpful, food and drink at restaurant was good. Fun decor!
Not sure.
The food was good upstairs, we tried a burger
The sheets were cheap and so loud any time anyone moved. Beds were not comfortable and it was incredibly hot.
they did not serve breakfast but we found a place in walking distance that was great. Also we were able to get dinner on site that was excellent
