Chateau Guetsch

From check in to check out, my stay at Chateau Gutsch was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I cannot wait to return to this magnificent hotel!!! 🤗❤️

The view was amazing!!

Everything about this hotel is great besides the beds. Mattresses are way too soft and one sinks into them.

Ok for me, we wanted the experience. The restaurant onsite was the highlight for us.

Beautiful property and the staff was unbelievably helpful and gracious. I will never forget the sumptuous breakfast in the dining room overlooking the entire Lucerne valley at sunrise. I will definitely return.

Beautiful hotel on a mountain with the best view in town!

A somewhat quirky hotel that is not your run of the mill location. Popular among Amercans. Major glimmers of 19th century charm away from the bustle of Lucerne, yet very close via the funicular (or mini tram), which is charming and free for guests. A great place for gentle hikes and walking in the woods. Lucern has a clear culture of kindness. Be sure to fit in with the flow and be a gracious traveler!

Staff were wonderful, food was great, rooms are lovely and the outdoor seating was amazing!

The Château itself is very beautiful, as was our room and the views, however, the hotel had an event we were not aware of that had very loud music with a DJ, from around 3 PM till 10 PM right outside our balcony. It was not a relaxing stay due to this. Also, the lounge area, garden area, and some other areas were closed off to the guest of the hotel due to this event. Had we known this, we would not have booked this place as we wanted a relaxing evening. We had dinner in one of the restaurants and were very displeased with the waiter and service, he just brushed us off many times. Also, the menu is very limited and overpriced for what was received. For the price we paid with the inconvenience, I cannot give it a five star review.

We absolutely loved our stay! The rooms were beautifully decorated, the bed was super comfortable, the views were spectacular and the staff was fantastic.

Amazing hotel!! We were greeted so kindly with complimentary wine and were allowed to check in early. The room is beautiful as are the restaurant and bar. The most incredible thing about this hotel though is the view. It really is like staying in a castle. Cannot recommend enough!

This is my third time staying at Chateau Guestch. It is absolutely gorgeous, literally out of a fairy tale. The staff is warm, welcoming, kind and genuinely helpful. I will most definitely return.

Beautiful place with outstanding service and rooms.

This property is amazing! My wife and i stayed in a duplex room and made it our home base while traveling around switzerland for 8 days. The duplex room was more than sufficient for our needs. It had great views, comfy beds and a nice size bathroom area. The staff were super helpful at every step! Whenever we needed them or asked for something they were there! The funicular worked every day that we were there as well. We walked to the chapel bridge area and train station everyday. Its an easy and safe 25ish minute walk which we enjoyed. We also enjoyed the easy trails located behind the hotel. We used them one rainy afternoon. Overall its a super lovely and beautiful hotel and we enjoy spending our trip here!

This is a really superb hotel. The room was extremely comfortable and the views of Lucerne (including from the little balcony of our room) were incredible. Everything about our stay was great, including the friendly and helpful staff (who were very welcoming of our cockapoo dog who travelled with us). Being up on the hill (with easy access via a funicular lift) also makes the hotel feel very safe and private. While it's obviously not the cheapest hotel around, we thought it was very good value for money. Highly recommended.

Great views! Friendly and helpful staff! Easy to get to the walking district of Luzern with use of the funicular at the hotel.

Amazing!! The view from the room was on another level. Walking distance to the old town.

Been staying there since i was 7 years old or 1971.. it’s like home and people are always so very nice and take good care. It has the best view of any for Old Lucerne which is beautiful walk and there is a forrest/park adjacent for quite walks.
