The staff at the front desk, while polite, were not really competent. The fellow who checked me in made a mistake (forgetting to run my credit card) that lead to a couple of embarrassing moments for me.

Two Nights at the Hawthorne
Pros:

I like the history behind this hotel and loved how close it was to everything. I literally walked everywhere and it was great. The restaurant has good food and drinks. The place was clean and cozy. Staff were friendly.

I would definitely stay there again for 1 night
Pros:

Great location in town. Beautiful old hotel ,very cozy and comfortable. Great bedding

Cons:

Walls in rooms very thin. Could hear tv and conversation from people next door.
Vent in bathroom blew very cold air all night and made bathroom so cold.
