The staff solved all our requests and were cheerful and attentive . The room was well positioned and spacious.
The room needs new lighting ...the lamps are impossible to use ...the switch is bare, sharp and dangerous.
Staff were great especially in the bar and restaurant
Bathroom the toilet wasn't great at flushing away, shower filled with water and took ages roo go and so noisy above from 6am onwards
The staff were lovely and very accommodating...the hotel was full of historical character... If you stay on bottom floor off the courtyard you have a running stream running outside your bedroom window.. Sunday roast excellent and look forward to staying again....

Siamo stati benissimo in questo antico pub inglese: la camera era spaziosa, il letto comodo, aveva il necessario per un soggiorno confortevole. Ho apprezzato molto gli asciugamani tenuti caldissimi dallo scalda-salviette e la comodità della doccia. Abbiamo sfruttato la possibilità di cenare al pub a piano terra, un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo e personale gentile. Per chi arriva con la macchina è possibile parcheggiare gratuitamente.
The room was very good and the bed was comfortable.
The location was nice - it's easy to reach from the train station and by the canal.
Poor service and standards.
An ashtray full of old cigarette butts had been left on the table on our room's balcony, and a stained towel had been provided. We reported both things immediately to reception, who said they'd clean the ashtray and bring a new, unstained towel to the room. They didn't. My sister asked again for something to be done, and, eventually, someone emptied the butts; however, they still left the unclean ashtray on the balcony. We never received a new towel, so I took my dad's spare one from room next door.
The room's door lock was also coming loose, which could be a safety concern.
Food was good evening meal
2 light bulbs out ,someone opened my room as reception had allocated my room key to another guest.No inside locking mechanism. No hand towel 2 bath mats 2 bath towels that didn't match .Smoke alarm went off due to someone not closing their bathroom door and steam set it off.Breakfast, l ordered scrambled eggs with smoked salmon,dry eggs and half a salmon ha ha so much salmon quite unessessary .Also no tissues and just a squessy tube on the bathroom shelf for hand wash .Corridors need a lick of paint all quite tired looking . Quite a laugh l thought l was staying at Faulty Towers.
Plenty of parking for a van
We booked three rooms for two nights and the first night was freezing for all three rooms i sent a message through booking. Com to turn the heating on and nothing so we complained the next day to the staff and they promised one of us some extra blankets because he was feeling ill and they never came back to to help him with with the blankets ? This place is noisy the staff treat you like prisoners and it's freezing if you like this sort of stuff then please book
