Pros:

Lovely courtyard room. Overlooking the wisteria on one side and rhe small river on the other. Very lovely period features in the room.. Main bar and hotel had plenty of places to sit, read and have a drink.

Cons:

Staff were friendly but could do with just being a bit more welcoming - felt more like an out of town motel than a small town's local hostelry. A minor point but I'd like the hotel to do really well and feel weren't quite selling the experience. Older gentleman who was serving in the restaurant was particularly friendly and warm. However younger chap refused to let me order a drink from the table as people had done' runners. However, I was a guest at the hotel so you'd think that would be guarantee enough. But thanks again ultimately a lovely short stay

Very Relaxed
Pros:

The style of the room
the garden outside in this warm summer
the nature and the river that you see through the window
the wood decorations
The curtain in the bathroon so there is no water outside.
the design in the wallpaper
the picture in the bathroom, it is one of my favourite for Xmas.
Its near to everything in this romantic town., the supermarkets, stores, charities, train station, river, boat rides, cafes...
Its easy to find.
The bed was excellent special for my husband that he was tired driving from far.
The chairs in the room were very comfortable.
The fun was just proper for the summer season.
Soft sheets

Cons:

a little fridge.
