Good value, close to airport, staff very friendly

Great location for casino. Easy drive from airport and onwards to other parts of the garden route. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. Nice breakfast.

We only stayed 1 night. Room was ok but a bit outdated. The bathroom was weird as it had a roller shutter and couldn't close properly, so you had a view of it from the bed.
The Casino was a 5 minute walk and there was plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Staff were lovely and very helpful.

We booked the hotel thinking it is near to both the airport and city. Indeed it is near to the airport but apparently, it is not within the area whereby tour operators will pick you up from. We booked two day tours and found out later they do not pick up from Grandwest. Making our own way to the meeting points is not cheap nor safe either. There is zero shopping in the vicinity. If having a good meal (they do have lovely restaurants and eating outlets) and visiting the casino after a long day tour is your thing, then the hotel is fine. It is a beautiful and clean hotel, staffed by friendly and helpful staff. But it is not near the city or the waterfront at all. I actually enjoyed the stay, except for having spent extra getting transport to tour meeting areas and not feeling safe in the process.

This hotel does not have an elevator. There are 2 small flights of stairs which is OK but very inconvenient when you have 5 pieces luggage to get up to the room. I asked for help since there was no designated bellhop

I asked during my booking to have a room downstairs, on arrival it was an upstairs room. The receptionist immediately did the change. I like the water fountain idea and the coffee station.

The clean room and very comfortable bed.

This was a best hotel I ever had, the room is very spacious, and the food wow, every meal is made on request and wait is worth it. Big ups to the chef. I will definitely come back here

Very nice hotel - looks like it might be more set up for business conferences - but was extremely clean an comfortable only drawback was no lift so if your on the upper level it’s a bit of a drag getting the luggage up and down the stairs.

Room too far from reception/dining. Am slightly handicapped and special parking blocked off.

I offer a high rating with one small exception the bath room no shampoo and no face cloth, in future at City Lodge location , I will bring my own
