Privacy and nostalgia. I live A Place in the Sun!

I love A Place in the Sun. It’s like stepping back in time but with modern conveniences. The rooms are bungalows with little kitchenettes and private patios in the back. The grounds are spacious, the pool and hot tub are great. Hammocks close to the pool, are great in the evening. It’s quiet and well managed. The bungalows feel private are super clean, and have basic amenities. Some kitchenware, small fridge, small tv. It’s a simple room. But comfortable and functional. Don’t expect frills. But enjoy the privacy and nostalgia. I’ve stayed 2 times and will continue to do so. A Place in the Sun is special.

On arrival, you need to text the reception with name to allow entrance to check in. Easy on street parking in a quiet area.

An excellent check-in with a friendly Alex.

A clean and spacious patio King to myself on a killer rate booked same week for a Thursday eve.

The Aircon was great but too loud for me so had to turn off overnight... Which could be a problem for some.

This place has tons of potential....they already have the layout to make a great MCM st
boutique motel....they just need some upgrades and a good cleaning of the exterior. Powerspraying the white exterior brick would do wonders. Also we stayed in room 18....it looks like at one point that was probably the place the groundskeeper stayed....so you walk into the front door and there is a locked door to your left which I realized where the current office is, you walk down the hallway and your bedroom is through one door and your bathroom through another. But you kind of feel like you have no privacy because just down the hallway is the office door.

The pool was clean, the Hotel was kid approved, staff was very helpful, animation team was very good they organised a lot for the kids. The cleaning staff was very kind.

All adult throwback, when times were simpler and everyone is friendly. No one is a stranger, just a friend you haven't met yet!! We made new friends while meeting up with more friends. It was a wonderful way to spend a holiday.

A gem in the desert!
Pros:

We stayed for one night after driving from Las Vegas and were so glad we found this place! It was quiet and relaxing, with a warm pool and a lovely spa pool. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and Alex was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!
