Pros:

The hotel has very quirky decor. The attention to detail in the room was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing being too much trouble. A good location, a short into the city. We highly recommend the hotel.

Cons:

The breakfast was the only letdown. The quality didn't match the price. A bit more variety on the buffet would have been nice.

Pros:

Absolutely perfect stay. Desk attendant Cam welcomed us with a bottle of cool water on a warm day after slogging our suitcases from the train station, and went above and beyond to get us checked in early, which was much appreciated after our long journey from Boston. We stayed in the squeaky clean Rowntree Suite and enjoyed the comfortable linens, luxurious shower, and delightful terrace. Decor around the property was quirky and charming, as was the garden. We appreciated being on a quiet residential street away from the noise, but a pleasant leafy walk from all of the main York attractions. Exceptional value for summer. We only wish we could've stayed longer!

Cons:

Creaky floorboards in Rowntree Suite could use some TLC, but this is nit-picking.

Erg teleurstellend.
Pros:

Service was prima, net zoals het ontbijt

Cons:

We hadden zelf een kleine kamer geboekt. Maar dan voor 300€ in een hokje van 3 bij 3 gestopt worden was werkelijk verbazingwekkend.

Beautiful hotel in a great location, would stay again and recommend 😊
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, great location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, lovely bar and outdoor seating to sit with a drink, and we loved Teddy the cat!

Cons:

It would have been nice to have a mini fridge. We brought some snacks for the evening and morning but had to throw them away due to the heat from the heatwave, and wanted to keep cold drinks in the fridge chilled. Otherwise everything else was perfect.
