NY delivers everything every time. If you want to feel a more local NY, this hotel is highly recommended.
Pros:

Location, staff and bar / restaurant were top. Location is incredible and if you like West Village / Greenwich village, SoHo, Chelsea area, the hotel is prime location.

Rooms small , breakfast poor , cold and unexciting, to be honest we tried as it was part of the deal .However we ate out instead

I would definitely recommend The Marlton if you are travelling light
Pros:

The hotel, its rooms and the communal area's are beautiful. The location is great, nice to be out of the touristy hotspots and is very central to experiencing NY as if you are a local. The breakfast was a nice add on and although it was a simple selection it was delicious! The staff were all lovely as well.

Cons:

The rooms are tiny, the cupboard space very limited and there was nowhere to put our toiletries in the bathroom.

Terrible service, amazing location.

location is excellent.

Cons:

staff are miserable. one morning i came down for breakfast, the hostess took me to a table in a completely separate area of the dining room to where other guests were sitting. I could not help but feel discriminated against. for the price they are charging no complimentary drinking water in the rooms.

Charming, old world New York stay, in the best part of town
Pros:

Loved the charm of the hotel. The bar and the breakfast room were just beautiful. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Location was perfect and we loved the hotel's ambience.

Cons:

The rooms are very small .. my daughter and I had a twin room for 4 nights and it was a squeeze. The beds were so comfortable though and linen so lovely - which did make us overlook how squashed we were.
