Mostly local Japanese people staying at this hotel. We got a bonus serving of delicious crab at dinner when they found out we were foreigners!

Take a trip on a road less travelled
Pros:

I was extremely impressed by this property. I did not know about this chain, which features delicious dining options in natural settings near national parks. I stayed in the newest wing of this 10 year old hotel. It felt luxurious like any western hotel, but with a deep Japanese sensibility. Thankfully, I have some language ability which made staying here far easier. I think it might be challenging for someone to stay here who does not have any Japanese language skill. As for me, I’ll be back! 休暇村奥武蔵 offers proximity to our home, and convenience to many hikes And attractions that I want to continue to explore. Thank you for your world-class hospitality!
